    Roger,

Pleased, you were taken care of properly by your local NAPA store.

Helps our stock holdings staying strong with another profitable year…. keeps the Marathon running.

    Thanks,

Got the hose ordered this morning. Liberty had access to one, as did Nixon Power (local). Ouch! $150 for a hose! Oh well, better to spend the money on the right part then to save and try to get by with something not meant for a specific application.

Hope to have it by end of the week (Thursday) so just in case we need the generator when we go out this weekend, we have it.

Nixon Power got me the hose this morning. Was able to install it in a couple minutes. Figured I wouldn’t crank the hose clamp down like it had been.

I have replaced that exact part on my Kohler generator from a 2003 Marathon. I have a Nixon Power account and have bought parts from them in Atlanta as well as had work done in Nashville. That hose is somewhat of a proprietary part whereas some of the other replacements such as filters I buy at NAPA. The fuel pump replacement came from Summit Racing just south of Atlanta.

yes, it’s an “odd” hose with the curve, different sized ends and it not being a coolant hose, they charge a premium (made me feel like I was working with HRC ordering parts for my GP race bike again). Nixon was great. Had me the part the next morning and I didn’t even ask for them to overnight it.

As I mentioned, NAPA had a hose that was the same dimensions and shape, by I was worried as it was a coolant hose and not specifically for dealing with diesel turbo/intake application. Would have been much cheaper, but I didn’t want to take the chance of failure.

Let me know when you head over to Barber to see any MC racing.

We will be over at Barber for the Indy Races as well as the AMA races. Looks like we will be in lot D (thanks for reminding me to go make my Indy reservations).

Bumping this up ….anyone have a link to the parts or service manual, Charles did you ever find anything?

02 Marathon with 20k Kohler, Yanmar engine.

One coolant hose has a tear and started weeping fair amount of coolant last night after running two hours, never got hot and only lost a few ounces but want to replace both due to age.

Hose is BRP BellowFlex, can you find an equivilant at Napa? I am not home yet but my local Napa shop is really good so will try there.

Would love to do some general Gen enclosure cleaning and zero’ing out things on the gen…any link or option to buy a manual would be great!

Hello Charles, do you have the turbo hose part number you ordered? What info was necessary to get the correct one? Thanks

I remember it being a real wrestling match to get that hose on.
