    Dean,

Do like Tom suggests and get a large hose clamp.Place it around the chrome part, tighten and you can get all the grip you need to get the cover off. I did all of mine and used a number G4-CWHP9-DAC cool white LED from http://superbrightleds.com and no modifications were necessary, just plug and play.

Walt – Your pictures have the same file name (image.jpg). Go to your files and rename each photo with someting different.

Walt, What Tom said. Here is what the developer said:

Digging deeper into this, the photos do already get renamed with a _1 _2 extension added. However, this users pics do not. I know of no way to fix it, because I can’t recreate it.

Please find out if he is saving these photos first or trying to load them from the device taking them. If the later, that won’t work. He needs to save them with a unique name (something other than image.jpg).

that particular post I was doing with my iPhone running iOS 9.2. And yes, I took the photos with my phone, then added them to the post from the phone without every using a desktop.

When I add them to the post, I do see the photos correctly in the post editor until I hit the post reply button. That’s when they change.

Is it that iOS is delivering files that are the same name each time the image upload is used? There isn’t a way to save to the file system with an iOS de ice as you know. That would require a 2-step to a desktop to do – I understand….. But that’s a bummer. Maybe I can figure out a “hork-around” as I call them.

Each time you save a picture on your I-phone it names the image with a different number. Mine looks like this:

    IMG_0242

    IMG_0245

You need to save the image then upload. FWIW, I use Chrome for the PC site and not Safari and never have any picture issues. Foxfire works well too.

As far as I can tell – you don’t “save” photos on an iPhone as you would in a desktop sense… you take the picture and it shows up in the camera roll. They are all automatically saved and you have no input as to what the name is or anything.

I’m now on my laptop writing this message. I do notice now, that when I attempt to upload a photo on iOS with the photo upload script – the photo gets placed into the ../forum/image2/ folder with an incremented name. But if I upload with my laptop, the photo goes into the ../forum/UserPics/ folder – with the name that the file had on the local client file system (what you would want.)

As far as uploading photos with the same name – since you don’t really get the option to name photos withing iOS and I doubt the photos have the same name withing the filesystem… I would venture to guess that the fileuploader or iOS is not recieving or sending the correct actual filename.

It also seems like the photo upload script continually overwrites the name “image_12.jpg” when uploaded from the iPhone – at least in this case – causing all the weirdness.

I went ahead and downloaded Firefox for iOS to try that. Firefox also wants to upload to the ../forum/image2/ folder so I’m fairly sure it would have the same problem (I bailed to try not to mess up the post.) I *believe* that apple doesnt let developers create web browsing code – only apps that use the webkit framework so all iOS web apps will probably work the same.

So – the probme lies in either the fileupload component coming from iOS – or the uploadeer script. Seems to me…

Sorry – this post may have been a bit too geeky.

Side note: we have fam in TN! – Alcoa…. right outside of Knoxville. I didn’t really notice your location Jon until recently!

There are a lot of Prevost coaches in eastern TN so maybe we should all figure a way to create the E TN chapter of PC. When Tom insults us he will have to watch his six because we can outnumber the GA contingent.

    Hi All,

Well, now I know why my entry light was burnt out – it won’t go off!

When end I close the door, the stair hand rail light goes off but the entry light doesn’t. This is with the entry light switch off.

And clicking the entry light switch doesn’t do anything.

If if anyone has any ideas… I’m all ears.

    Walt,

Give Leon at marathon a call. with your coach number. It might be as simple as resetting the techlink module that controls that zone. Leon will be able to point you in the right direction and tell you where the module is. I have had similiar issues and just unplugging and repluggin the tech link module in the rear closet did the trick. Hope your fix is as easy

    Walt,

We have the exact same issue. There is a switch in the upper hinge of the door. That might part of the issue. The switch thinks the door is open, hence the light stays on.

Leon will tell you to reset the techlink. That’s our next step.

If you find the solution, please post!

    Here’s where I am now –

The Entry light is controled and gets it’s power by the TechLink relay module . It’s relay circuit #0 on our bus. In the pic below, you’ll see that there is also a remote switch wire going into the relay module – it would seem this is a way to turn the relay ON and OFF without using a techlink control module/switch. This remote switch wire comes from the wagu strip (that strip where wire connections are made – Leon said wagu…. but I don’t know if I head that right) and basically the idea is when you open and shut the entry door…. the light will go on and off. The remote switch wire is light blue and 39DT

On the wagu strip here is the situation, the Green DT wire is from the switch for the door. When the door is OPEN, the greenwire DT get’s ground. When you close it the ground is taken away. The Green DT wire is bridged on the wagu with a diode. So that the ground can only go from DT to 39DT – not from 39DT to DT. Here is what it looked like BEFORE:

Green DT on the left is to the door switch. Green DT on the right is to the relay that provides power for the hand rail and step lights. Blue 39DT is the remote switch wire. DT is bridged to 39DT by the diode on the right. The idea is when you get ground on DT – it is given to 39DT too. The problem was that the yellow wire 39D has ground. And it is being bridged from 39D to 39DT. Since 39D gave 39DT ground all the time, the Techlink relay was on all the time since the remote switch was activated all the time by Yellow 39D. IF the wiring was still original, it would seem that 39DT was meant to feed 39D when it had ground…. I suppose so that 39D KNEW when the entry light was on.

UGH. I had to email Leon to ask what is 39D. (does anyone know?) I don’t know why 39D has ground. Or where it goes. I didn’t see it right there locally.

SO – to “fix” the entry light… All I had to do was unbridge 39D and 39DT. Here’s what that looks like. I left the diode hanging so as not to loose it. Once I find out what 39D is…. I might have to put it back.

Believe it or not, now the entry light works as people have described. You can turn it ON and OFF with the light switch…. and if you have it off by the light switch, it will turn ON and OFF by opening and closing the door. Just like the hand rail light.

Also – on our bus, the step and hand rail lights went ON and Off correctly with the door opening and closing… so it wasn’t the actual switch on the door. It was something else… as I can now see.

Fixed…. sort of. I’d like to know what 39D is…. will wait and see.

    Thanks for all the input.

Now you know what a Waygo (that’s how it’s pronounced) board is. Very good, you got further than most.

Leon can tell you what 39D powers.

It’s actually Wago and my 39D doesn’t show up anywhere in my electrical documents.

When you say Wagu, Karl gets all excited because that’s his beef preference.:)
