I can’t get any spark, it won’t fire the coil, but fuel gets dispersed OK. I took the coil off and tested and it is good. So the next culprit was the flame detector. It should have 20 ohms with your finger covering the glass and about 200 ohms when shinning a flashlight on it. I have nothing when covered and about 40 with the flashlight. If this doensn’t do the trick, then it’s the controller (ouch). The downside, Prevost sent me the wrong flame deflector, so I’m again waiting on the correct part.

The 2010 uses 0.4 gal per hr and the 2020 uses 0.79

Maximum fuel consumption l/h (US gal/h) 1.5 (0.4) 3 (0.79) 4 (15)

Sorry guys.

If you think you can cite a consumption per hour you also expect someone to define how high is up.

Are you heating the engine as well as the coach interior? How cold is it outside? Is it night or is the sun shining? Is the wind blowing? What temperatures are the thermostats set to?

There are so many factors that influence fuel burn that every single time the Webasto is used its fuel consumption is going to vary.

My numbers above are for the following condition:

Ambient Temp 38.2 degree’s, wind blowing at 17.6 mph out of the
NW, engine heat loop off, 3 heat exchangers running, 1 bay exchanger,
1 kick heater set to 72.6 degree’s and an occasional opening of the
fridge door that will certainly effect the overall temp of the coach
interior!

Or, you can just use an average as listed from Webasto.:)

Hey I was just trying to keep you guys honest.

I think someone should put a digital flow meter on the fuel line to the Webasto and record all the variables and report back. Then do the same for the generator.

Or better yet, go where it is warm so you never have to worry about Webasto fuel consumption.

Jon is absolutely correct, there are many variances to the fuel burn rate to the Webasto. For example, if you drink 2.583 cool ones per hour and the frig is set to 38.7 degrees F, and u keep the duration the door is open and cool air escaping to about 3.417 seconds per cool one then you could calculate a burn rate of .73 gal. Per HR.
