No ac power isn’t an issue for the pump. No dc is. That pump is dc. It’s the one that liberty puts a 30 amp resettable breaker on even though the pump can take 50. Mine is at the bottom of the middle row. You can check if you have dc voltage there. If you need to reset the breaker (it looks like a fuse) just unplug it and put it back. That resets the CBF breakers.

The Groco is a magnificent pump – one of the best marine pumps there is (and price to boot) it can essentially be completely rebuilt for about $400 (psr master kit) . So I would keep it if you can

You do need to be a little familiar with power or get someone professional to help. A voltmeter is first and foremost here.

if it’s an impeller you would hear and see the pump run but have low flow. If you don’t even know if you have power – then you aren’t at diagnosing impeller yet.

Early on in our Prevost ownership we parked at a campground, plugged in shore power, and we couldn’t get shorepower in coach. I figured problem with campground power. Told manager. She frowned and followed us to the coach with a bag of tools, meters, testers, and stuff. She checked her side and pronounced it “working”. She frowned again. She stood ready to test various points in the coach. I crawled into the first bay, drivers side.

There I found the problem. Packing up at home I’d pushed the long washing pole in too far and turned a master switch/breaker off. Flipped it on and a minute or so later we heard the auto transfer switch flipping from inverters to shorepower. The campground manager smiled. So did we.

Al, The transfer switch is in the first bay, port side. If the coach has a cord reel there is a 3 way switch knob on the transfer switch box and it has to be turned to the selected power source.

also make sure you have the right side selected – as in port/starboard for the shore power input. . . You should hear a good “thunk” about 5 seconds after shore power is connected to the coach. thats the transfer switch switching the shore power to your coach.

Today the owner signed up so i do hope he jumps in here and lets us know if he got to the bottom of this pump issue . You guys are great and I’m sorry I couldnt be more of a help to Chuck . Crazy how each converter has his or her own way of building these coaches . Makes one want to stick with the same converter . That is unless you enjoy new learning’s . lol Not Me 🙂
