I’m not sure the trucker knew the car was there. I think the lens of the camera distorts what the trucker was seeing. Not sure if trucker was on radio or cellphone or what. Trucker could have lifted or braked, especially when he moved over onto the shoulder. I don’t know if the trucker consciously moved onto the shoulder or not, or if the car pushed the truck over to the shoulder.

Either way, there was NOT enough room for the car to squeeze in there. Regardless of whether the trucker could have avoided the car or not, the driver of the car had NO business trying to squeeze in there. The first car barely had enough room (in my opionion) to squeeze in there. The only thing the second car did right was signal the lane change.

Let us accept the fact the car driver was wrong. I just cannot accept the fact the trucker did no wrong. He contributed.

I’m not going to pretend I wouldn’t like to do that to some of the morons, but my father used to say two wrongs do not make a right.

That is a long nose, and I would suspect, that the driver of the black car was in the truckers blind spot. I did not hear him speed up. Very dangerous place to be, but most folks do not realize or respect this area.

Hard to say who was at fault, but it was an eye opener.
