Had Prevost do mine last year to the tune of 1200 bucks. Drivers side fog issue. That $225 sounds a lot better.

Just talked to Jeff at peninsula glass they will make single pane windows and new frames aluminum powder coat black , takes 30 days to get windows he said about 10000$ for both windows installed he said to bring it by and he would measure it I will be by there in May will report back….

I have heard allot of good praises for Peninsula. They must be good. We have a Peninsula Glass in Tampa also. I wonder if it is a national company. I will check tomorrow.
This place in Florida was recommended by our local glass company. I think quite a few folks down here use them, so they seem to have a good reputation.
I am still going to do ours myself,,,,,, worse case I break it and then take it to them. I want to see just how it is put together.

They are separate company not together must just have same name , I asked him that. That did they have another company in Florida he said no.

Just looking in the phone book,,,,,,, The address where Peninsula use to be is now another name. Must have been a local company that got bought out.

There is no doubt that a single pane of glass will eliminate the fogging inside a double pane window forever.
However, my small toll windows are single pane glass and on cold mornings the rest of my glass is clear, but those small windows have condensation. My defrosters keep the windshield clear but they don’t help the small toll windows. I would be concerned about a side window getting condensation which might block the view of the mirrors.

We had one of the right side windows fogged up and went to suncoast for a fix. They did the job with a minimum of fuss. it was the lower half that pops out and they had never done one of these before ( I think we got the B team ) but it turned out ok . Patti says they charged us 350 cause I look like a rich guy.

Just thinking while you are in Florida,,,,,,, Suncoast might be a good prospect for an advertiser on here ????

I talked to them last year while I was there Robert, but they didn’t seem interested. Their focus was on the plastic crowd who actually enjoyed spending 4 or 5 days in their parking lot. I spent almost 4 days there for 3 windows and left with paint to touch up. Red was lucky with the B team, I got the F team. Details is not one of their strong suits.

Sorry they did not do a better job for you, Our local glass shop said they were the best for insulated glass windows. I should have done more research.
I hate that I posted the info on here now. I just thought by the back log of work they had that they were good. Also did not think there were that many plastic coaches with insulated glass. If they are not doing quality work maybe it is best they are not advertising on here.
