Mark,
If you think talking about a bigger engine gets you cheap shots, wait until those Marathon guys start in on you. It used to be the CC guys picking on us Liberty owners, but I believe they are all hiding behind their plastic shields.
Envy. That’s all it is.
BTW, I want more HP too but I also want to get better mileage than the 9 MPG I am getting now.

My mileage coming down the driveway approaches infinity since an engine is not required.
I don’t remember when I figured this out, but quite a while back I learned that as long as the front wheels were out of the garage and on the driveway I did not need to push the “D” button to start down the driveway. So now when I go through the various leveling gyrations to clear the door opening, and keep the belly from dragging in the center I only use “D” to put the front wheels outside the doorway. From that point until I reach the bottom I am just rolling in neutral. I could turn the engine off.
But then there is that pesky issue about needing air for brakes.

I’m still flying……….but thinking of retiring to Bus driving solely.

I thought I would miss it a lot. I still get a little frustrated when I want to make a quick trip to some faraway point.
But the bottom line is I had a great time during my 35 years of using my plane almost exclusively for business, but it is in the past and I am glad I don’t have to go through all the hoops anymore.

Jon if I remember correctly, If you do not stop in the road at the bottom of that hill, you will be in the river!

I won’t go into the river, but the odds are pretty good if I cannot stop I am going to end up in the neighbors shrimp ponds on his parcel.
