I realized this weekend the I have centrimatics on the bus already! Maybe thats why the tires are wearing so well. Next year it will be time for new tires. Just wondering how much folks have saved buying tires using the tire program. Rick

Just when you think you’re done and ready to hit the road, the Norgren gremlins bite ya in the butt! UPS red label, oh the joy…… They didn’t leak last week, but now leaking most likely due to the cold. Two mornings in a row with outside temps in the 20’s, down to 32 in the bus barn and here comes the bubbles!

Bad Luck on that Tom, looks like those are old norgrens they do not have the flat front on them and too many push in fittings well you needed something to do any ways!!!!!!!

New ones are the same Peter, they’re electric over air and the function on a Liberty is L & R rear by controling the 5 ports.
I’ll get them right for you!!!

Well my Norgrens came next day air, 570 and they’re wrong… Not Prevost’s fault, bad advice from Liberty parts. As I mentioned earlier, Liberty modifies Prevosts level low with their own. The two front valves that control the rear 5 ports are standard electric over air Prevost valves that they use for many applications and they are 24v. Liberty changes everything over to 12v including the manifold in the steering bay. So I end up with 24v valves.
The good news, is I can still get going, but now have to use the old 13 year old valve and coil with new Norgrens. For those of you with Liberty’s, the only place I could previously find the 12v valves and coils was at Liberty, Prevost doesn’t use them.

Just so no Liberty owner makes an error in ordering, check the voltage on Norgren system solenoid valve coils. Some will be 12 volt and some will be 24 volt depending on the model. Regardless of whether you order from Liberty or Prevost or a distributor it is good practice to specify voltage.
