With the rally a few days away now I hope all can enjoy our wonderful weather. A fellow Prevost enthusiast suggested this link so everyone planning to attend can make plans. Thanks Steve for the suggestion. And thanks to Bob Becker for the forecasts.
Visit this site to see the fine weather we will have. http://www.localweathertn.com/

My schedule is pretty firm 18-24 months out so rallies have been elusive. I saw this one and held out some hope we might swing by for a day or two. I am leaving Nashville April 25 or 26 and was going to northern, Virgina by May 1.
I held off on making reservations for the rally because my Dad was waiting on the doctors to re-schedule a major surgery. I had cancelled a few weeks of my schedule inFebruary and his surgery was postponed at the last minute.
Sure enough, I just received word a few days ago that they have him scheduled for April 30. I have cancelled the meetings in northern Virginia and I will go straight to Ohio from Nashville to spend some time with him.
We are very familiar with the area of the rally and were hoping to spend a few days in a familar setting and to meet some of you. But I will have to skip it this time. Maybe I will catch you all down the road some where.

There’s still room at the RV park and it is going to be a rally you don’t want to miss.
I have ordered good weather. I even paid the deposit on good weather so we should be good to go with indoor or outdoor activities. This morning I packed the goody bags Tom provided with brochures of just some of the neat things there will be to do, and places to see.
Here are just a few of the attractions. Tanger outlet, Dollywood (don’t laugh), shows, the Titanic, Ripley’s Aquarium, an Arts and Crafts community, Cherokee Casino, Dixie Stampede, Moonshine, Biltmore estate (in Ashville about 2 hours drive), an aviation museum, and many, many more too numerous to list.
If the planets line up traffic should be good this time of the year and all the construction is north of the RV park, and not between the RV park and the area attractions.
And best of all Tom has arranged to give away a brand new Rolls Royce Phantom to one of the rally attendees whose RV site number will be drawn at random. If you aren’t there and the site you would have been in is empty you will have to wait until next year’s rally for the Rolls Royce drawing.
OK, I’m lying about the Rolls Royce drawing.
-
See what happens when Jon has a reaction to the expired Geritol he takes! I said rolls of choice as in bakery and he heard Rolls Royce.
Also, don’t forget the Smokey Mountain Knife Works as well as the Tool Outlet and The Lodge Outlet for the ladies.

For those coming from faraway lands to attend the rally here is more good news.
Fuel prices are dropping. Near the interstate I-40 diesel is in the $3.83 range. At a Marathon and Pilot a few hundred yards from the RV park diesel is at $3.79. Gas prices are at $3.15, higher near the interstates.

It appears the weatherman will be delivering the weather I ordered in time for the rally.
The forecast is showing low 70’s during the day and high 50’s at night. There is a possibility of scattered showers on Saturday, but we can accept that to wash some of the pollen off the roof.
If anyone is looking for good Italian food Di and I have a strong recommendation. The place is called the Little Italian Kitchen and it is in a gas station. But WOW!!!!! The food is great and the owner Johnny will take the time to greet you and explain all about the various items on the menu.
Maybe Saturday evening we can all have dinner there. He will set aside a separate room for us if we plan ahead.
See you all in Sevierville.

Ditto on the Italian place at the gas station. I asked the owner why he didn’t advertise more. He said his priority is for residents and certainly enjoys us tourist stopping in. At the time, he probably would be overwelmed if too many discovered his great food.

Sign me up for eating Italian
