    Tim,

Everyone has a different procedure for a pre-trip check list. I think we all are influenced by past experiences so what I consider vital might be less important to someone else. At the very least I think a visual inspection of belts and hoses should be a part of the list. I would guess a light check would be important.

I think it is a must to verify tire pressures, and to check all fluid levels.

To the above you can add everything from checking the horn and wipers to doing a full DOT brake check.

If you are towing all connections, lights and supplemental braking should be checked, as well as making sure the toad will roll. (Don’t ask why I want to make sure it will roll)

When I was flying a pre-flight check list(s) was very important and detailed. I am sure I carry that over to the operation of the bus. My driveway is a 29% grade so for me a brake check is important. We are unlikely to catch or prevent every possible problem, but the pre-trip inspections can help detect issues before you get on the road.

    Tom,

I posted by using your page that came up after clicking “New Thread” The same one I am using now. I did no copy and pasting although I know how to do that.
Now that I think about what you are asking, I did notice as I was typing the post kept going and going to the right. It is kind of strange but really… I didn’t copy and paste!
