Recommendations for “truck” GPS?

Does CoPilot Truck (RV version is limited to 26,000 lbs, too low for us…?) work, though? I have read negative opinions of both the 760 and CoPilot as not being accurate with height and weight warnings. I don’t want to get this wrong ever again!! (and as much as I don’t want to spend $300 on a standalone GPS, it is cheap insurance…)
As for Waze, my wife loves it, as does my boss, but I hate it. It warns of things I just wish it wouldn’t and I haven’t been able to figure out how to turn off those warnings…

I have had good luck with Copilot truck Pro. the RV was not available several years ago when I started using it.

I have used Co-Pilot the last year. Jeff’s right, you can put in your height but there is no where to put your weight. It has been 99% accurate; however, it is a GPS, so we always use the Rand McNally Delux Motor Carriers’ (Truckers’) Road Atlas in planning our routes.
That ensures the weights are not an issue since Trucker’s routes must hold loads of 80,000 lbs. Any truckers are certainly welcome to correct me if this is not correct. The Atlas points out State-by-State all height restrictions and prohibited roads.

I have been using CoPilot Pro (not RV), current version. It allows height, width, length and weight (within limits). Also can be adjusted for speed on different road types. Mainly truck routes but will not send you down a street that a truck cannot get out of. So far so good. iPad and probably iPhone enabled.

It looks like the current CoPilot that is applicable for our coaches is the CoPilot Truck HD. I think I will give that a try!

Generally speaking the bulk of our driving is going to be trouble free with respect to bridge capacities and height clearances. That being said it is a given that if you are not on an interstate highway in the northeast you at least need to be on a truck route. For that the only GPS I can count on says MAP on its cover and the roads safe for me are highlighted in orange.
The whole rest of the country is pretty much OK for local exploring.

CoPilot truck is the highest rated app in most industry polls. As far as stand alone units, I prefer Rand McNally while my DH prefers the Garmin; both do a good job. We specialize in over dimensional shipments and navigating is my main job.
The Rand McNally Motor Carriers Atlas is a great tool in addition to any GPS. It has the ‘National Network’ roads highlighted in orange as previously mentioned and it also has a list of low clearances in the front. We have never been checked for length in our motorhome, but I’ve heard of race toters being checked for overall length from time to time in GA and on the west coast. The length laws for different types and combinations of vehicles are listed for each state for wandering off the national network.
