    Mark,

As you can see from all the posts they are not all bad… I agree you had a bad experience… but with a brand new coach at hand you obviously plan a keeping it awhile so I think you will need to develop relationships with many of the Prevost Service Centers in the future as you WILL be needing them…. I think the best way would be to confront Ft. Worth about your bad experience… give them a chance to make amends… then move on… Ft. Worth has an excellent reputation overall, so that says something…. I guess everyone has a bad day and someone always pays for it… I have never known of a Prevost Service Ceneter that wasn’t willing to try to make things right and they are usually very respectful.

Hoping things work out for the better for you Mark.

    Cheers, Diane

You need to talk with the Service Manager and the Billing Manager. Talking to the Tech is a waste of time. The more to go to their shops you soon learn what tech is the go to guy for questions and service they are also the go to guys for the other tech. You don’t know if you are getting a 15 year veteran or the resent hire to work on your coach. I think PSC would be the only place you could get warranty service work for no charge. I live 2 miles from a Volvo Service Center (over the road trucks) but when a was trying to get my recalled brake lines replaced, they wouldn’t touch them, no experience on buses.

On questions if you ask the tech a question while he is working on your bus and he stops to answer it most likely it will be included in the time it took to replace or work on whatever he was doing. Long answers should be directed to someone standing around or the service writer. Remember just be cause he is a service writer or manager he may not know what he is talking about, they are not all techs who moved up the ladder. I was told once by my service writer who I knew for 10 years that the reason the Turbo in my Excursion needed to be replaced was because I towed it behind my Bus which kick up to much dirt. So I asked around some of these guys are hired into those positions.

Do what was said, be up front with them and contact them now about your last service and billing. I am sure they will correct both for you. I have never had a problem with them reducing their bill when I pointed something out that was done or was over charged. You just have to talk to them.

    Mr Mark

Greg is correct. Last year We set an appt at Mira Loma for a single windshield replacement. Had aggreed price for on glass + labor.we were right there in the bus during the work. No talking to the techs other than initial pleasantries. We left for P Springs and home. Bill showed up after we got home with labor for two windows, but just one part quantity. Gave them a call and an adjustment made. You Must call them. “Billing” is in a world of their own

I don’t understand why a corporate operation seems to consistently get their billing wrong (and always over by all accounts) Makes you wonder a) how often they do get away with it and b) who is driving this type of behaviour behind the scenes? Seems to be happening too often to be coincidence or someone having an off day. Especially when they are charging top dollar hourly rates in the first place. How many of you guys run your businesses like that?

As was discussed on a thread previously about trusted independents vs manufacturer, it will be those who get the “whole package” right who will get my business (in time)

Thanks Mark for raising the issue.

UK Guy You’ve got it figured out!

Most times coaches are brought to Prevost by a driver who drops it off and tells “service ” a description of issues. The bus is repaired and “billing” sends the invoice to “accounts receivable” at coach company, and clerk writes a check. No review of billing as long issue is gone.

Like everything in life, there is a learning curve. I really didn’t expect this type of service with Prevost. Seems just like every other ‘non-customer oriented’ company. Nothing really special about their operation.

The billing dept. that called me was in Illinois. From now on, everything thing will be right on the table without a stone unturned.

Bernie calls them as he sees them….. no fluff.

Again, thanks for everyone who responded.

    Hey J and C,

We are leaving Palm Springs today heading back to TN. Desert Shores is a beautiful resort…. stopped by there last week to see the new Liberty on display. They also had an antique car show and five or six golf carts on display.

Have fun and maybe our tracks will cross in the future.

We just recieved the bill for our minor warranty items (no charge) and chassis service from Prevost Nashville.

Our bedroom window needs a new motor, somehow a screw got stripped that attaches to the motor (on order), the motor was not in stock.

They charged $82.88 for a lube service including all taxes.

Very pleased with Prevost Nashville for charging the correct amount.
