Gary Carmichael and I have Dura Coat / Poly ura coating on our 2005 buses. One of my questions is what if any maintenance should we be doing to those wheels ?
I’am writing for Gary as he was last seen in his plumbing bay with a polishing cloth and listening to Nashville sounds from the bay stereo.

My Durabright wheels say to use only soap and water, but I had AlmostChrome polish mine at Prevost last fall and they are much cleaner and brighter than anytime I just washed them. They seem to clean up better now with just soap and water FWIW.
I had the wheels polished once before at Ft. Wilderness by Amazing Detailing and they were good, but I think AlmostChrome did a slightly better job. In all fairness, I have not put that many miles on the bus after the wheels were done last fall, so I don’t know how long the polish job will last, but they sure look good now!

Why Karl, I would never insinuate that the Liberty guys do anything other than impeccable work while using the latest products to obtain their goal at hand.

Pieter, Tyler and crew came out to KOA in Nashville today and coming back tomorrow to polish at our Eagle International Rally. I still own an Eagle as well! They did a great job and they are great guys as well.

Just off of I75 in Wildwood , Florida on Hwy 44 there is a little polish shop that i have been useing for years ,It is called < A Cut Above > I had my wheels done there about three weeks ago for $800 they came out perfect . The man polishing was boiling down a bar of polishing rouge, brown in color in mineral spirits he puts this mixture with a little carnuba wax in a squirt bottle and this is what he used with a buffer wheel, than a towel great job . Mine is a 1994 xl the headlights were a bit dingy also and twenty bucks they were shiney new also. I asked about the stainless ,, was told hand polish $3000 and for $6000 sand polish and wax with machine,, well now it looks like even better than new. I don’t know thier exact address and it is outside across from a truck stop nothing fancy just a great honest job. I got the machine job too about 6 hours but looks like new or beter he made sure all scratches were gone …

I have come across some polish (actually it is a couple of them) that I feel are a good fit and are working well for me. Jon said I should post it for some of you to look at. Unfortunately, editing here is not working for me, but if you want to see the results, it can be found on my project page, here is the link: http://boxcarokie.com/draft-onl/
Just click on Wheel Polish Link top of the page.
