I’ve got the tools. I am more than willing to sit in a lawn chair with an adult beverage watching you on a laddrer repace a windshield.
Anyone with an XL that is hesitant to replace a windshield would be encouraged to help. Usually a 20-30 minute job. Prevost has a lubricant to make it easier to install the glass and the rubber strip, but diluted dish soap will work also. No sealer is needed.

It is really a quick fix so I think anyone at the rally that wants to cheer you on can help us set the time so it can be demonstrated to the most of folks that want to see it. No pressure of course having the entire resort come out to watch you work.
Apart from the tools a good ladder is required. Also I can’t remember which side requires it, but one of the windshields requires the removal of the mirror. Look at yours and if that side needs the mirror removed you might want to insure the screws holding the mirror to the bus are broken free, Some of those are very stubborn and require a shot with an impact wrench. If the glass removal is going to be easier with the mirror removal it will help if you break the screws free and then just retighten them before you leave.

I have had both sides replaced on my XL at different times and neither mirror was moved or adjusted in any way.. I did not do the work but I watched it.

I just changed the drivers side windshield before OKC. No mirror removal. Wish everything was so easy.

I looked today and the mirror certainly does not appear to be in the way. I lossened and then re-tightened the mounting screws just be sure.

Since I am getting as senile as Tom, I remember replacing one windshield and I know we removed the mirror and hung it with a bungie cord. I just cannot remember which coach it was. Glad yours won’t need that, not that it is a big deal, but it is a step we are batter off avoiding

Just an update for the Oyster Fest… On Saturday there will be a catered dinner of oyster, shrimp and all the fixins provdided by PC, your dues money at work… Details to follow…

I’m going to eat my wife’s share of oysters along with Tom’s.
It’s a nasty job, but someone has to do it.
