Any time anyone asks just tell them it is a new Prevost. Your coach looks new Bill. Only other owners will have a clue about it’s real age.

dont feel bad. Rancho California ( formerly Outdoor Resorts Temecula) refused our entry reservation until I sent photos of our coach. They graciously would allow us a four day stay. Between the time I sent photos and they got back to me, I had made reservations at Chula Vista RV Park, in Chula Vista, Ca

This age of coach issue has been discussed on every RV forum and in every instance it irritates the RV owners, whether they own a Prevost or a Pace Arrow.
I can understand when an RV resort or RV resort owner’s association sets standards. Some are restricted to Class A motor homes. Some will not allow lengths shorter than XX. Some as in this case use age as a standard. I don’t know why they don’t just come out and say they don’t want a 30 year old home built skoolie, or a 20 foot pop up tent camper.
Usually the RV’s they don’t want aren’t going to show up anyway because the prices the RV resorts that have restrictions charge scares people away.

I contacted Bella Terra and suggested they waive the year restriction for Prevosts and here:s response:
Good morning, Tom! We actually have a 15-year restriction, and no, I don’t recall ever seeing a Prevost that didn’t meet our standards; but, we’re required to ask for a photo for all guests that fall either on the limit or exceed it to ensure no one is discriminated against. I’m sorry for any inconvenience it causes.

I really take exception to being asked to provide a photo of my bus. Can you explain to me how a clerk can determine you have an acceptable motorhome from a picture ?
Bella Terra step on their own rule as no Prevost has ever been refused. Thus not question any Prevost, you think ?
Based on their message back to you Tom, there seems to be no justification for the Prevost falling into the 15 year BS rule.
I will make a motion here on PC.
If you’ve been asked to send Bella Terra a photo of your Prevost at this time offer all a free night for the embarassment they caused to PC member.

Here’s an idea. When the next ‘no rally’ is being organised, part of the deal for the resort in question is that PC members are not asked about the age of their buses. In return, they get 100+ nights of additional business they would not have got without the rally. Never mind the prestige of 20 or more Prevost showing up all at once.

Note to all Prevost owners. If you are asked the age of your coach by a resort, the only acceptable response is that it is new.
No photos required, nobody upset, the resort gets to enjoy your business, you get to spend time at a nice resort all of which sounds like a good deal all the way around.
However, if you are looking for a way to turn the tables, as soon as you get asked that question and you respond by saying you have a new coach, then you ask the resort how old the resort is. Then you get to say I am sorry, I have a policy of not staying in resorts that are older than 5 years so please cancel my reservation.

Yep, I was a little surprised at the response, I guess I just expected a response like, in the future, Prevost would be exempt from the age deal. So in a couple years, I would have to send photo’s of my 02. That won’t be happening.

The bus below is owned by my friend Scott Crosby who is the guy who started busgreasemonkey.com. I think his bus is cool beyond description and I would love to see him pull up to resorts with their 10 or 15 year rule and let them know a 50 coach Prevost rally will pull out of the resort if he is not allowed in.
By the way, this bus is “Benny” and was used in a movie.Benny has a brother coach called Lenny which Scott is currently working on.
Is that a cool bus, or what?????

So, as I understand it Jon, you have finished the 50 Ford and now want to modify “Benny” for your next Toad???

That would be cool. Can you imagine the snooty RV resorts that will restrict RVs but have no policy regarding toads. So you can pull up in your late model Prevost conversion and have a toad painted like Benny. Maybe something towable, like a short skoolie.

Barb is still teaching a couple more years, and while she gets 13 weeks a year off, they do not line up with this rally, so we cannot make it, but we did enjoy our first one at OKC, and will be there again.
If two or more PC members’ paths cross coincidently, and they interact, would that be construed as a rally, a no rally rally, or a no no rally rally?
