I am glad you had the same experience I did at American Fleet Services. I, like you, wish I had known about them before I dropped $20k plus into my engine at Freightliner. I suspect I would have had the same work for less money in a much shorter amount of time (I started my repair journey June 4 and got my coach back August 11). My visit to them has paid off again as they pointed out an oil leak from an improper valve cover seal installation. It is now being fixed on Freightliner’s dime rather than mine. Since the warranty on labor is only 90 days I quickly could have been outside the time where Freightliner was responsible for the repair.

Everyone at American Fleet is grateful for your kind words! Thank goodness you got your coach in before the 90 days were up. Just so everyone is aware, we offer a nationwide 1 year/100,000 mile parts and labor warranty on our EGR engines. Along with free towing in that first year as well.
On non-EGR engines, we offer a 2 year/200,000 mile parts and labor warranty on the long block portion of the engine. And of course, free towing in the first year.
I was bummed I could not meet you while you were here. Hopefully somewhere down the road we will meet up! Lunch on me!!
