Do you have a DDEC II or DDEC III ECM?

Code 35 is “oil pressure input voltage too high”. Check oil pressure sender/connector. Replace?

Code 63 for DDEC II is “response time too long”. For DDEC III it is “PWM short to battery/open”.

I believe this refers to an injector problem as fuel injection is controlled via pulse width modulation. Hooking up the diagnostic computer will tell them which cylinder.

I have the DDEC III troubleshooting guide. Let me know if I can be of any help

    Thank you Gerald,

Any idea where I could come up with a copy of that DDEC guide? That sounds like something worth having for sure!

You could consider having someone on a ten foot ladder watching the stuff on the top while you slowly back the coach in.

Harry, you can get in a 13′ opeing so no problem. Rent the closed storage space you will be OK.

At this point I am having a hard time understanding why Clarke is hung up on having a 2 stroke expert when it sounds more like a problem associated with the ECM, grounds, sensors or connectors. If they can lie to you and tell you they have experts on staff, lie to them and tell them you wallet is empty. An empty wallet almost always is when the problem is found and resolved.

I bought my engine service and DDEC paper manuals when I had my boat. Eight large three ring binders. Rarely if ever used/needed them.

Nowadays you can find most of the information online. E.g. search for “DDEC III error code 63” and you’ll find plenty of info. Without a diagnostic computer the manual itself is of limited use.

All of the Country Coach dashes (XL) I have seen show 12’7″ for coach height.

I think it would be worth checking to see if you’ll fit rather than rule it out because it might not work.

See the bottom right of the image…

    Hi Michael,

That 12′ 7″. Is that with airbags up and includes dish? (I like that wood dash)…

Someone mentioned always having a toad and that will be me as well. The problem is I’ve not had the coach well since I’ve had it. So there’s been no time to shop for a toad.

And Jon, exactly!!!!!!!! Why did they first make an appointment with me when the 8V92 guy wasn’t there? They specifically said it’s a computer issue and all the guys can handle that! They were also suppose to call me today when the 8V92 guy got back from the service call and got back to my coach. Did I hear from him? Nooooooooooo! Would I have heard from them at all today if I’d not called? I don’t think any of us believe they would?

I’m just tired and frustrated and I also know I’m not the first Buss owner this has happened too! Just let me get it fixed, pay the bill and give me a few trouble free miles. Is that so wrong?

I’m going outside and see if I can get a bee to bite me or something. I’ve got to get something good out of this day! Hey maybe a snake, here snakey-snakey! Can you call a snake? Hey I knew this guy once!

My 92 is 12-6 to the top of the dome. You should be fine.

    Thanks for that Joe.

BTW, a mention was made about “backing the coach in”. Why back it in? It seems to me if the bus needed to be worked on it will most likely be from the rear. I know from my battery problem if I had backed in it would have made things much more difficult.

By the time the stuff is fixed in the back it will be time to fix what’s going to break in the front. I would back in! Sorry Harry I couldn’t resist.

Harry the filter thing has me stumped. I’ve got a raycor, and like somebody said, you can see any junk or water if you have it, in bottom glass, and drain it out if need be with motor running. You also have or I do a spin on fuel filter also from detroit. Was the canister a sock type filter? My coach is 13 foot with Wingard T4 and old one was a couple inches taller it seemed. Hope you get that puppy figured out. I fix something seems like every time out on mine. It’s a pisser.

Hmmmm, Glen you have me confused. The fuel filter housing I’m speaking of has no bottom glass. It’s a cylinder that’s maybe 6″ around and 12″ long and is located on the right side of the engine towards the back. It was replaced with a filter that looks more like an oil filter like you’d see on a car.

Haven’t heard from my local mechanic yet so I can’t decide about tomorrow. I want to get my bus from Clarke but I currently have no place to take it? Maybe I’ll just bring it home, put it in the garage. That way my wife and I can go by, sit on the hood of our car and talk about where we could have been! Yah that should work, she already thinks I’m an idiot so this just fits into the process.

Your gal and mine must be sisters. I bought mine 7 years ago and just about every trip out when something goes poof, i get that look. Don’t know about the filter housing you’re talking about. You have 2 fuel filters on the motor? And I don’t know why somebody couldn’t clean it out? Spin on filter are the bomb though.
