Had a chance to use the Michelin Roadside service today (is that the good news or the bad news?) Lucky to be in a campground. Call Michelin, used the Dupree account number, my credit card #, and was promised a 90 min response. Service showed in 75 min. And this is a Sunday afternoon. Michelin called 3 times to make sure service had arrived and work was completed. Bill to follow for a 315 tire on the tag and I will post the results. Tire had picked up a large nail shortly before before arriving at the campground.

Michelin rep asked me for account number, truck number, phone number ( mobile and office) and if I had a “registered” credit card number. I said no. Here’s the number. Service was prompt, tire is a 27/2016 mfg date, and I am ready to go.

I used the Michelin on call resource in early August. They provided good service and I had a new 365 installed the next day ( could have had same day but did not need ). The bad tire was 14 months old with roughly 5k miles. My issue is that there was no contact by Michelin with any warranty consideration as of mid October. The charge was $1061. I thought this was through FMCA advantage program, but no information or price breakdown was offered. I feel bad for even hinting of a complaint because I was so lucky. The tread separation was found while parked, at the 12 o’clock position on the right steer. Probably only a few miles before going bang.

Update from my 10/16 post. Caredit Card charge came through. $ 1,015 total

There was no breakdown of tire vs service charge but all in all, about what I expected for “come to me” service. Michelin telephone rep was knowledgeable, they found a new exect replacement tire, and the service truck was there in 75 minutes. Having the Dupree Acct # opened the door
