  • Michelin “On Call” – How it Works

Posted by Archived on July 11, 2016 at 8:55 pm

I started digging into the Michelin tire service program called On Call and found out it’s kind of a stand alone program. Talking to the Advantage Program, On Call Program and B2B program is like talking to our government. They don’t have a clue how each program works, so using the website and the aap is a nightmare.

What I did learn was you have to have a Naional Account to use the On Call road service. So I talked to our friends at Dupree who offer the Advantage Program here on PC and obtained their National Account number. With that number, you can phone On Call for tire service. You will then be able to use a credit card to get your tire problem handled. Here’s what you need:

Michelin On Call road service 8008473911

    Dupree National Account 1323404

If anyone finds an easier way using the aap or website to reach On Call, feel free to jump in here. This is a great program if you have tire issues, such as just what happened with Andre. I’m sure it’s not cheap, but sounds like they’ll make it all happen.

Even Jon can use this program, providing he turns on his phone.

Do we need to sign up for this program? If there is a tire issue, who should I call – Coach.net or Michelin?

I have used the Michelin program three times.

I used it through the FMCA simply by calling the Michelin dealer through whom I have acquired tires for many years. They set the program in place and we used the FMCA numbers and accounts. I paid two invoices:1.) the invoice to the dealer for the tires under the pricing program and 2.) the costs for installation charged by the dealer.

The net was a very acceptable price for the eight tires….it comes out the same.

I assume this is simply another way of getting to the same place. The program worked very well.

This program is for road service (breakdown) Pres.

We already have the Advantage tire program here on PC.

I also used the PC Michelin Tire program when I bought tires. But on the Michelin On Call Road Service, can I just use the numbers above or do I have do register with Dupree?

Tom, you mention “I’m sure it’s not cheap, but sure they will make it all happen.” Is this a separate road service program that has an annual charge?

Is the Michelin roadside service another program similar to Coach.net which I already have? And if it is a tire issue, is there an advantage to calling Michelin over Coach.net?

You don’t have to do anything except use the above numbers if and when you need the service.
