My 02 has the small PC. I did two things, one I relocated it from inside the compartment it was in to just outside, so it now lives in the big area underneath the bed. I also mounted a USB powered fan that I put on the case. This stopped most of the crashes as it does not seem to heat up so much now.

Also, think mine does not have a typical hard drive, just flash memory….at least when I looked it up online it said no moving parts….not sure, anyways you can buy small pc like that on eBay or Amazon pretty cheap I am sure. If mine ever goes that is what I will do.

If there was no obvious damage to the logic board I would replace the failing HDD with an SSD. Had a similar issue with the dash computer in my coach. Screws loosened up and HDD went bad. Now it’s both fanless and Solid State. Plus the flash is so much faster.

My techlink is not working but its not a blank screen, it has the VPSD Mainboard logo and does not do anything when i press the “screens” button to switch through screens. Tried unplugging it for 30 seconds and same Mainboard screen. Has anybody had this problem?

If you’ve re-booted the computer and no joy, your best bet is to call Leon.

The system can be rebooted by cutting power in the entire coach, rather than gaining access to the computer to unplug it. I’ve had to do that once.

Thanks Tom, still troubleshooting with Leon, sent both units to Coburg, will end up with Rasbery Pi instead repair based on cost…
