I have been told in our older conversion if you leave one or 2 halogens on the circuit the others will dim… Interesting thought… Jill Frazior said it worked for them on their Vantare.
Jill may chime in and say excatly what she did too…Jill did post in an earlier post about that… you may search for that and see exactly what she did. I do remember they were quite happy with the results.

The bulbs I just installed will not dim with the old style variable resistor like Les said. I tried, doesn’t work.

I understand that Vantare only have two postion dimmable system where as Marathon use full dimmable lights control. Or maybe only on late model coaches.

On my 1999 Royale, I was able to get LED’s to dim to a certain amount by leaving 1 halogen bulb in each circuit.

when changing over to the side post leds are you having to take out the reflector so the led will fit right and will there be a heat problem. I have a 2000 h thanks Jim

Hisham, can you tell me where you bought your LED bulbs? We have a 2003 Marathon and I bought a dozen bulbs from a Chinese Ebay source as an experiment. They work but are so yellow we took them back out. They were however dimmable. Thanks.

Wondering where those yellowish colored LEDs came from and what the color temperature was. All the ones I’ve found we’re so bright white that I could not stand them. To me a color temperature of about 2800k is a nice warm color, just slightly more yellow than a halogen bulb.

Mine are warm white, not too bright, just right. The yellow LED’s are actually white when powered up. I have an amber for porch light and the LED’s are white. Go figure…
