In the past folks have used a mild vinegar and water mix. Call me lazy but I learned very early on that if I did not dry the coach it would get spots and then I would go crazy working to get them off. But now that I am approaching Tom’s age (and aversion to physical labor) I have found the best removal method is ………TIME.

Over time and after the usual washes after running through rain or just washing dust off the spots are gone, but even if you have to wash it in sections so the water does not dry on the coach I always wipe it dry.

Mine seems etched like yours and I did have a fresh coat of wax on the paint but not the glass. With a few washes the paint is better but not perfect. However, the glass is still difficult to see through. My car is “old” but is still very nice and with only a few hundred examples in the country I feel responsible to try and keep it in great shape. I’ll try the mild vinegar solution and see how that works. Again, thanks!

Don’t confuse water spots, which is the minerals in the water remaining after the water has evaporated with damage to glass and paint from acid rain.

Over the years there have been a lot of posts about owners trying to get rid of damage to glass and paint surfaces from acid rain.

Yep, vinegar and water in a squirt bottle does the trick.

Just for for the record, I think you’ll find Jon was a puppy in the Pearl Harbor days, where I was just a glimmer in Pappy Truks eye. I am the young one….

Got the vinegar (and baby shampoo combo I use on windshield bugs) so no big deal today. I guess we brought the wind to Polson.
