So. We sneek into this really cool RV park undetected and look what happens! We get caught, with pics even, after offering to recruit new members. Why? ’cause some guy named ‘Tom’ ratted on us that’s why. Then he calls Bernie ‘grouchy’ so some guy up the hill takes a pic and posts it for the world to see. Then this Bernie guy makes it rain on us in the midst of cooking on the grill. Not only that but our neighbors, Jim and Pat (huntinjim), tell me they are already PC members. Deflated or what?!
But every cloud has a silver lining. Thanks to Bernie’s pic I now know we really do have roof airs, twirly things too bring in the awnings, solar panels and no emty beer bottles on the roof. Not only that, the sun just came our and Mary can get back to feeding us.
Ahhhhh. Life is good. And maybe the wheels have been greased for a Polson rally?

You can run Doug, but you can’t hide. Beautiful place you’re visiting, check Bernies bus for a PC plate, if he’s flying one, all is well in the world. If not, I’ll get the PC Enforcer (BA) to handle the problem.

We might give a shout to the Montana Mayor Polson who has a birds eye view of many Marathon’s
roof tops. To the best of my knowledge a 2017 Marathon is staying there.
Be aware that the mayor has supposedly gained gate / security control of all incoming buses at Polson.
He’ll have a good time for the rest of 2016. When 2017 rolls around plans are in the making to gain control.

Had a great visit with Tommy and Cli Duhon in Milwaukee. Dick and Cathy Karth even joined us one cocktail hour. Tommy left this morning for Lambeau for the LSU/Badger game and we’re going to miss Brady and Trish here tommorow as we have to go to Antigo to have a Slidemaster installed. Unfortunately they’ll be here the one day we’re gone. Tommy and Brady…enjoy the game…we’ll be watching on tv.

A while ago I went to the back of the bus to check belts, etc. to find the rear and DS rear covered in hard water stains from the irrigation system. I’d spent most Sunday washing and pilishing the bus. Looked like new. Now it looks like crap. I called Paul, the developer, who came to look, appologized and said they have hard water and wind blew the water on the bus. He turned it off for our site.
Any park we’ve ever stayed at over 18 years has explained at check-in or in writing the sprinkler situation and how to avoid what just happened to us. The guy who parked us piut us right next to the grass.I suggesed this to Paul but felt his response was ‘too bad”. So I startted to remove the stains then stopped for dinner.
We’ll never come back because of the developer’s attitude and apparent reluctance to help future customers.
Not sure what Bernie thinks.

What am I gonna say, it’s unfortunate to say the least. I can sit here and defend Paul and make comments about the water spots but it will do no one any good.
I just want to make you aware of what happened last night. There was a red flag warning from Idaho thru Montana from 3pm to Midnight. It hit here last night at 1030pm, 42 mph winds for a few minutes.
This park has been here for 8 years and I have spent my summers here for 7 years and we have never had a complaint, today we have our first.
Paul started to tell me of the interaction you two had and there were no winners coming from that conversation.
I’m taking the high road here and wish you safe travels and hope you find places more to your liking.

Hard water irrigation is a very common problem all over the country. I’ve never had a campground warn about hard irrigation water, I just assume it’s that way and take the precautions needed. I carry rubber diverters from Home Depot to place on the sprinkler heads. Some of them use reclaimed water and they are a nightmare.
As to Polson, I’m going back for sure armed with my diverters, but not a thing can be done about 40 mph winds.

Does anyone have a method to get the hard water spots off? My car got watered on a hot sunny day a couple weeks ago. I’ve tried repeated washing but I can’t get them off. I’m sure I can strip the wax off the paint and hopefully remove them – but what about the glass?

I had that happen to a couple of cars. The first one was under warranty and the dealership took care of it. In hindsight, they probably took two layers of paint off with the buffer (burgundy color car).
It happened again with a black car. Knowing that I didn’t want the paint buffed so hard, I tried a little trick and it worked. The hard water from a Texas sprinkler hit the car while in the sun when visiting my brother. I tried everything to get those spots off. I tried Windex, Simple Green, etc. It almost seemed like the spots were ‘etched’ in the paint.
So this is what I did, I soaked the car in the shade with water several times then washed it. Amazingly, it worked, the bad water spots came off. I do keep a nice wax on my cars which may have helped.
