How to find size of holding tanks?

A couple of things that might help you …
1. If you spend enough time looking in the bays of your coach, you should be able to determine how many tanks you have. Two tanks (one fresh, one combo gray/black) or three (one fresh, one gray, one black). Another way to figure out how many tanks you have is to count two different things … first how many switches or levers do you have for dumping? One or two. Second, if you look under the coach how many “discharge pipes” are there. Keep in mind that your coach might have the ability to “dump the fresh water tank”. Usually the discharge for “fresh water dump” is smaller than the pipe for discharging the black, grey, or combo tank.
2. A previous poster (can’t remember who) suggested that when you’re camping and are hooked up to a sewer line that you NOT leave the dump valve open as you could get an accumulation of “solids” in the hose and it might be hard to get rid of the solids later. Since “solids” are something you apparently are familiar with, I think you’ll understand why we don’t like to let solids sit in our sewer hoses. Hold them as long as you can, then open up, and let them go!

HJ you have one Gray and one Black. the 1.5″ line on the left come from the Gray. The 3″ drop down line going into the foam is your Black Tank. You should have shut off valves on both tanks. This way you can shut off the black and dump gray into your flower beds or on the grass under the bus at night.
