I’m having a real hard time keeping my mouth shut Larry, the bullshit meter is pegged.

Might anyone have a photo of a flush valve they can post? Would like to see what to look for as intend to purchase and carry spare.

Your H coach very possibly is on the ceiling in the bay, otherwise usually within about 12 inches of the rear of the toilet…

Threads like this one make me really appreciate Featherlite even more so! Geo.

Found what I believe to be the valve and it is secured to the floor behind the toilet.
Where is the “timer” typically located? Is the timer simply plug and play?
What new parts would be necessary to have on hand to physically remove the toilet to gain access, then re-install?
-
The timer is located behind/under the toilet. Just follow the wires from the push button switch to a rectangular box about 1 1/2 square.

Thanks Jon….
The Flush valve and timer have been replaced and “looks” like all is well !!
The flush valve was directly behind the toilet which had to be removed for access… not such a terrible job just awkward due to the limited space.
Thank you all for your help… it’s always appreciated !!
Cheers, Diane

I am beginning to have this problem of flushing not stopping. Is the flush valve a generic plumbing component or is it a headhunter component?
-
Roy,
It is a Headhunter specific device.
It is not difficult to service. If the toilet keeps running typically the tiny hole between the two chambers is plugged or there is some loose crud in there that occasionally flows over the hole to minimize or stop water flow through the hole.
If you can find the valve, and if it is oriented so the six screws that hold the two halves together are accessible and visible you can take it apart, clean everything completely, and reassemble the valve. That should end your problems.

Ours was a nightmare to get to… had to remove the toilet to get to the flush valve and ours was 15 years old… so just cleaning up a 15 year old valve wasn’t good enough for me… so we replaced the whole thing and the timer… hopefully it will now be good for another 15 years.. we did replace the timer about 3 years ago but decided to change it too… Head Hunter is great to work with.
If your flush valve is easy to get to then just clean it up but if you have to remove the toilet as well I would just replace it and “hopefully” be done with it. Very tight quarters in ours too.
Good luck and cheers !!
