Head.Hunter toilet running nonstop
Our toilet is running constantly..I have to turn the water pump off & even then water runs in very slowly until its a couple of inches from the top rim inside. A couple of times it righted itself when I turned the pump back on but then after a couple of flushes went back to running constantly again.
What can I check out please? We replaced the timer about two years ago.could it be that again?

Either replace the flush valve or the simplest is to take it apart where it is and clean the tiny weep hole in the diaphragm.

Mine was buried in trim work behind and to the side of the Headhunter.

Every Liberty floor plan is different so you have to start at the toilet and follow the water line back until you find it.
My current coach has it mounted under the ceiling in the water bay, the previous coach had it mounted under the kitchen cabinets on the floor.

Flush the toilet then unplug the timer power and the flush should stop. If it stops the the timer is more than likely bad.

We had that problem. We cleaned the flush valve and it still bled by.
we had to shut main valve to keep toilet from over filling until we got a new flush valve.
replaced timer too, as it was original also.

Ordered new flush valve and timer today just going to replace them both since its such a pain the access the flush valve… talked to tech guy at HeadHunter and he thought that was the best idea.
He seemed to think it’s most likely the valve since the tank keeps filling.
We may never know exactly which one it was but at least it will be fixed !!

That’s what we did.
Just a little scary when the toilet won’t stop filling up! LOL

When you take the Headhunter valve out you will see a little (about the size of a pencil eraser) white knob on the top part of the valve. This is the manual override. When the toilet flushes non stop because the valve is stuck you can turn the little white knob and it will stop the water flow, turn it back the other way and the water will start again (with a bad valve)
With a good valve the water will flow when the little white knob is turned, then stop when the little white knob is turned back to its original position.
If your valve is not in a hard to get to location you could use this to temporary way to flush the toilet.

Apparently Headhunter flush valves are not expected to have issues because on the two coaches I had with them it was and is a nightmare just seeing the valve, much less actually touching it, servicing it or replacing it.
There should be a law that says every flush valve for the Headhunter toilets should be behind a removable panel right at the toilet and that there should be enough open area around it to facilitate servicing it.
As an alternative the converter should have a person on standby to come to the coach at the converter’s expense to repair or replace it. That should be for the life of the coach.

Jon: Each converter had a traveling field engineer on-staff like you suggested. But they were replaced by the Prevost Community Forum, POG, Gil Johnson, and Joe Camper.
The highly trained and well experienced engineers lost their lucrative jobs. Kids were pulled out of private colleges, luxurious lake homes were sold, retirement accounts were liquidated. It was brutal for them.

The flush valve and timer will be here Thursday am…We have NIT located the flush valve yet. Actually we haven’t looked for it after we realized it isn’t easily accessible.
I know Jeff must know where it is located on our coach…I am hoping he will see this and reply.
Anyone who knows this please let me know… it is not visible from the opening above the toilet.
Like John says it’s ridiculous that it isn’t easily accessible !!
Can’t wait for the nightmare to be over !!

Ours is a Featherlite and it is in the bay where the aqua hot is .
your arm has to bend in two places to reach the little white knob on the flush valve😀

Diane, do not assume Jeff or anyone except the folks that put the coach together know where the flush valve is.
From what I have seen they put the flush valve where it is convenient and then build the coach around it. I had a bitch of a time getting at the flush valve on a previous coach when I found it under a kitchen cabinet. You literally have to find the water supply line to the toilet and follow it back.
