The gun fire is really disgusting. Hope they caught the bastards.
Strange it has not been in the so called News.
Best wishes for the rest of the recovery.

Hey Pres, Thanks for the update but I never heard a thing about rifle fire and a running firefight? This sounds like a work of fiction! Who in the world was shooting and why? -
Outstanding support Pres!
I know Habitat will be extremely busy down there in the coming years, and we may try to get down to Beaumont for a build next year.

It is not fiction… the bus my son was on had a bullet hole in its’ side panel…. that is pretty real.
These are the same types of nuts who often fire at the police and firemen…
Another example of this is the power company has been going door to door shutting off individual power to homes that are flooded. They are trying to not cut off power to the unflooded homes..Each power unit team often has police protection traveling with them… it is a shame… this is the other side of the tremendous wonderful work so many thousands of people are doing…
It is understandable as well that owners are trying to protect their possessions. During the immediate aftermath of the storm where communities were flooded and before the police could set up entry points, communities all over the area set up residents with rifles at the entrance to the communities and signs were posted stating “Looters will be shot ! “. They meant it too… and it happened.
Wrecker drivers have been simply driving up to stranded cars and attempting to haul them off… they are not working on behalf of the city but are in fact stealing them… what they are doing with them, I do not know…
The bad side of the issues at hand…

We had a good week in Nederland, TX feeding those who lost everything. We are going back Sunday to Nederland to man the laundry and shower units.
