Hard Freeze in Houston

If you are talking about a 1″ square button on the left panel it was used on my coach to disengage my cruise control.

So you ran the generator, figured out the Webasto after Rudy tuned it up, and ran the cruise-airs?
Sounds like everything turned out OK!

unless someone monkeyed with it in the past, it is square and looks like it could be a button switch but it is rigid and will not depress..

Correct – the Webasto struggled a litte when it got down in the teens so I fired up the cruise air’s and got toasty! Baptism by fire!

Ahhhhh … that’s backward.
The Cruise-Airs can (and often will) give you heat down to the low 20’s. But after that you’ll just get luke warm air out of the C/A’s. I turn our C/A’s off at about 20*F as they are really effective for keeping the coach warm at that point.
The Webasto is the diesel boiler. That should give you lots of warm to HOT air down to well below 0*F.
Did you find the second valve to circulate the coolant that we thought you should have? Open that?
Do you have an electric toe kick heater or two?

When you have it on cruise and momentarily want to reduce the cruise speed without turning cruise off you hold the DECEL button. Once you release the DECEL button you will return to your previous cruise set speed. At least that is what mine does.

I turned on the cruise airs to give a little bit better circulation of the Webasto generated heat – probably really could have left them off but I just wanted to see if it made me feel better! Everything seems to be working – I can’t locate a second spigot style valve, so I just went with what was working. Power came back on at home yesterday so we moved out of the bus. Webasto worked last night -temp dipped down into the low 20’s – repeat performance tonight then here comes spring!!

So you were able to get Webasto heat into the coach and keep it warm? Were you getting Webasto heat into the water bay?
How often do you lose your power? Hurricanes? Extremely cold weather?
If you have enough room to park the coach at home for a short while, consider putting in a transfer switch on the house electrical system and an incoming RV receptacle near where you’d park the coach. That way when you lose power at the house you can bring the coach home, turn on your generator, plug the house into the “Buddy Plug” that Liberty Coach likely built into the coach, flip the transfer switch, and power your house with the coach until the power comes back on.

been below freezing since 9th. I checked water bottle sitting on floor in front of co-pilot seat. Still not frozen. Down to single digits every night. FWIW. Bob

Do you guys worry at all about the computers in the second bay? We have the Allen Bradley setup and there is a heater on the bay ceiling. I was told it is because you can’t let the computers get below freezing. For those of you who winterize, do you do a complete power down so the computers are shut off?

We have the Allen Bradley system too and I haven’t thought much about cold temps there. I think there’s a small electric heater on the ceiling. I’ll have to check what temp its set at. I wonder what circuit breaker its on.

Do you have a compartment heater breaker? Ours is on inverter line 2.
