    Some of the cracks are from the bolt holes where the stainless trim bolts go through. That piece of trim is way heavier than you think, at least on a Vantare. That’s one of the reasons the bay doors struggle to stay up, even with new struts on the doors…….the extra weight.

    Almost all XLII coaches have a small dimple in the SS near the bay door edge. It is caused by lowering the bay door and allowing it to be pulled to one side….Just saying..
