As a former owner of a Liberty Coach that others have said looked like a whorehouse I hope you realize we are breaking balls and are certainly not judges of what constitutes good taste. A good friend said it best when he stated “there is an ass for every seat”.
Those fireplaces often drove me crazy trying to figure out how they got the “flames” to look so real until I took a hard look at one and realized it appears to be a moving screen that makes a colored light source appear like the movement of flames.
It sure beats cutting and splitting wood, stacking it, loading the wood box, cleaning out ashes, etc. The only thing you cannot duplicate is how your eyes water when a puff of smoke comes out of the fireplace.
BTW, to those that have suggested how my previous Liberty looked, all I can say is I will have to take your word for what it looked like.

Your fireplace looks nice. The fact that we use a portable heater anyway, I would rather have it built in and I like the ambiance of a fire.
In the summer, we can put ferns in it. LOL!

This Prevost is the only one I have had that has heated floors, we love it on cool mornings

We had heated floors in our previous 2003 Country Coach and loved it.. Wpuld recommend heated floors to anyone north of the Florida line. They may have come in handy south of the Florida line this winter.

Heated floors are a wonderful option. I would highly reccommend it. If I were purchasing in your price range my first option would be bus air (as you know impacts slide) and second would be heated floors. Reverse order for my wife.

FYI: Most electric fireplaces operate on 120VAC
and are rated at 1500 watts, which works out to about 5100BTU’s. This is the same amount of heat that is
generated by any typical plug-in portable heater. The BTU’s are the same regardless of whether the heater/fireplace
is in plastic coach or a Prevost bus. 🙂Mike

Heated floors are outstanding and you don’t even need the heat on unless it gets really cold.

I have three electric toe kick heaters one in salon , bathroom, bedroom . I don’t use space heaters or cube heaters except in the winter when not using coach. Does nobody have those?????

Mary Ellen…… really, really liked the heated floor in our Country Coach Affinity, we owned 10 years.
Many nights we only used the heated floor for that cozy feeling. If we were to order a bus as you plan, I would not be able to talk her out of that option. When we down sized from a big house to villa style our main bath floor was ripped out and reinstalled heated. I left her alone with the contractor for about 10 minutes….big mistake
As I’am writting this… one question comes to mind with the use of heat under wood floors.
There may be someone on PC that can address this.

Al, i will double check with Bill but most of the engineered flooring, which is what is used in coaches now, is certified for heated flooring. I like a heated tile floor but I’m fine with a non-heated wood floor.

Interesting, Marathon posted today on their website about their built-in fireplace that fits in just behind the driver’s seat on the H3-45.
I like it and think I would consider it as we use our little portable heater a lot.
(I think the ‘big eye’ is watching).

We are pricing out a new Liberty Coach Elegant Lady. We decided not to go for a fireplace as it would remove valuable storage since these coaches don’t have much in over-head cabinets.
The salesguy said that they have never put a fireplace in one of their coaches.
Also, the Elegant Lady has heated floors standard which would supply nice ambiant heat on a cool morning.
