John insisted on a water softener, and I thought it was silly until we got one. Not only is it easier on your pumps and pipes, but it makes a huge difference. We went with the “On-the-Go” in the double size. Easy to maintain and depending upon the hardness of the water where you are, you can go anywhere from 2 – 4 weeks before recharging with salt. Look at http://www.portablewatersoftener.com. We got ours at Camping World.

We had a “slimline” (aka apartment size) Miele dishwasher installed in place of a cabinet next to the galley sink. Works great, and happy with look and function.

Wondering why Featherlite does not put a dishwasher in their coaches as standard?

One thing we all can be sure of is the converters will build coaches their customers want. If a converter is not installing something as standard it suggests to me that the demand for that feature is limited or non-existent.
If the majority of their customers want something however you can be assured that feature is going to be on the coach. Even if it is not installed on every coach, the converters have learned to wire and plumb the coaches for that feature so a retro fit is possible.

Don’t let the lack of a dishwasher determine a used coach puchase consideration. Finding the perfect used unit is almost impossible. Almost all of us have made changes post purchase. Dishwashers are one of the easier ones. Slendide combo W/D to stack units, A/V upgrades, furniture and flooring are all common changes. Concentrate on finding the floor plan you want and the right unit on the Prevost side of things.
