OK boys, you must have the golden touch.
I called Direct, that’s stressful by itself, the first rep said, whut ee RV? The second rep said, u hab mobl hous. The third rep knew what an RV was and said you can’t get East or West connection from your home! Hello, I’m on the road moving all the time and want either the east or west feed.
No can do, but you can get local stations while traveling if you change your address. No can do, I only have the sucking direct on my RV and need locals when traveling. I don’t have direct at home, only the RV.
OK, you can get local stations while traveling if you fill out papers for the network and it will take 30 – 60 days. You have to mail the paperwork along with a copy of your RV registration and the network gods will then maybe grant you permission to view their stinking stations. OK, I did that a year ago, but maybe the papers ended up in Bombay instead of Colorado.
You can’t make this crap up, what a cluster €}%%.

CHANGE OF SERVICE ADDRESS.

Tom, if it makes a diff….We have direct at home. It changes all 7 recievers….but we’re not home to look at the other 4. Geo.

A hassle, yes. But I sent in the “affidavit” and now get all the local channels thru their East Coast feed. I never call them to update this service.
It’s a one-time processing of your paperwork, which did take around 45 days, but once it’s done, it’s done. Downside, I get the East Coast feed even when I’m on the West Coast, but you learn to adapt 🙂

I have no interest in calling those morons while traveling during the year, I would be making that call almost every week during 2 – 3 months in the summer alone. I want the east coast feed like Tim has.

Truk, still prefer the call method…takes less time than to hook up the water. We can go from the East to West feed in a heartbeat. Geo.

I’m hoping Geo is willing to do a demonstration of his short phone call to Direct while at Oysterfest.

I hope when Corey has to make the demonstration phone call he brings with him a good book to take up the time he is going to spend trying to accomplish his objective.

It may require the whole bottle unless Geo has some knowledge of the fancy handshake required to get past all the robotic telephone system answering devices, types in his account number and telephone number, and the has to listen to how important his phone call is, just before he gets 10 minutes of advertising and then a real person that thinks an RV is a new version of a Humvee.

And don’t mention the word RV or they will be confused. “2nd home” or “vacation home” is acceptable but not necessary. Just change the “service address”

Based in Florida for the winter, we fly to Buffalo once a month to visit my mother. Arrived last night and changed the Service Address for DirecTV. Automated voice verified my phone number. Then asked me if the Florida address is correct (where the coach is). I said NO. I got transferred to Angel who changed my service address. I started the stopwatch when I first made the call. That’s 5 minutes…not 5 hours to get my local network channels again.
