Has anyone asked where to mount the VFD? Is it weatherproof so it could be mounted next to the unit? Or ?

VFD will have a 10′ cable (extra length can be ordered) so it can be mounted in a dry location.
Units are being put through various test in preparation for production. As we all know, there will be growing pains in the beginning. Aqua-Air is committed to minimizing any issues prior to going to market with the new product. They have a great standing in the marine market place and want to enter the motor home market with a dependable quantity product.

Just heard from Aqua Air. They found a single phase compressor that will work in place of the 3 Phase compressor, so no frequency drive is needed. They have completed their testing, ordered materials in bulk and will be going into production with first units available in July. Retail cost is $8,066. Discounts will be available for dealers and OEMs. All new units will come standard with Easy Start.

Wow, that is steep. I was expecting around $4,000 retail.

With 3 installed, over $27,000 they really think there is a market vs putting on rooftop units. I would think spare parts 3 years from now will be worse than Cruiseair.
