Unless you just love walking to the fuel counter every time you refuel, standing in line, etc. all you have to do is save those receipts from Profit Tool

I take a picture of the pump with my iphone once I’m finished fueling.
That’s ‘my’ receipt then I also get the emailed receipt from Profit Tool.
Easy-peasy.

Good idea. I have never left the pump without writing the gallons, cost and fuel price in my log.

I had the worst/ longest fuel stop ever today. 40 minutes. It wasn’t Profit Tools fault at all.
Jerk in an RV decided to go inside and pay and shop for snacks but I guess didn’t know or care to pull forward so the truck in front of me and I waited for him when the trucker asked what was the delay he went postal and started yelling that he had to pay.
Finally my turn and the keypad on the pump was not working so I had to go inside.
Makes you really appreciate when it all works right!

We are definitely spoiled by the ease of using the cards.
I try to zone out at truck stops because there are some morons that use the fuel islands as a parking spot so they can pick up groceries and their lunch. It would be too easy to go crazy at some of these folks so I try not to let them get under my skin.

Happens all the time with some of the those idiots that think they’re special, but usually they’re too fat and lazy to get back in the truck and move forward. The doo doo hit the fan one day while I was in the fuel line. A guy did the same thing in the line next to me, except he was found in the restaurant having lunch. I thought he was going to get his ass kicked by other drivers stacked up behind him as well as the truckstop manager raising hell with him. You can’t fix stupid.

We have a Citgo convenience store/gas station/Dairy Queen with four truck pumps in back (including off road) right on our way to southbound I-43; its an easy in and out as we head to the Interstate to go south. I always see someone pumping diesel there, all the contractors use it, so I presume they move enough product to have “good fuel”. We have Love’s an hour to the south in Oak Creek on I-94. The Citgo often has diesel credit card price for a few cents less than the net Love’s price, so I’ll stop there and use my credit card for the 1% rewards points and not pay for it for a a few weeks to a month or more. Otherwise we stop at Love’s.
We stopped at the new Love’s on I-43 just south of Sheboygan Sunday, filled up, and weighed with full water and tools. The fuel lanes actually had a 24″ white line indicating where the truck should pull up to after filling up. Great idea. A couple of times I’ve had to toot the horn when a semi with a long sleeper doesn’t get far enough forward to get the bus to the pump.
We were somewhere in Kentucky I think this spring and there was a semi second in line for the pump. Trucker had locked his keys in the cab. It was there when we pulled in, waited for two trucks ahead of us, and it was there when we pulled out and headed for the highway. Bad day for that guy!
We’ve looked at “local” off highway stations for diesel. But I’m always a little leery of whether or not the canopy is high enough.
I like the Love’s card. Use it as much as possible. We DO NOT use it in Indiana. We avoid buying fuel in Indiana.

Indiana and Oregon are the two states the cards haven’t worked.

My card worked in Troutdale, OR; however, I didn’t get the “trucker’s price” for diesel because of that DUC exemption.

I had the same experience as Truk but in front of me in my lane. The manger paged several times for the driver to move but no luck. About 1/2 hour later three drivers came out and told me the pair blocking us was in the restaurant having lunch.
I found two young lady drivers enjoying a meal. I politely asked them to move. After a ‘who farted look’ one of the fine young ladies got up, went to the truck and pulled it forward about 20 feet and went back to finish lunch. Still blocking us in. A phone call to the trucking company (number on the door) finally got her to move.
I guess I could have put the dish up and watched a couple of movies or something. But as I recall I was trying to get from A to B all on the same day. Those two boneheads would never understand. Probably working for ‘Who Gives a Doo Doo’ ? Trucking now.

At that point I believe the law allows you do remove the Schrader valve and the valve stem cap from as many tires as you wish from the truck that blocks your exit.
If the truck stop is in the NYC area the use of a stiletto knife on the sidewalls is an acceptable alternate.

It is UNIMAGINABLE that someone could be that RUDE and ARROGANT. I might be able to understand absent mindedly walking away from the truck without pulling forward, then being reminded that YOUR BIG TRUCK IS BLOCKING THE FUEL LANES, and then jumping up and moving the truck to a more appropriate location. But to sit down to eat and then move the truck only 20 feet and think that’s enough … that is the height of RUDE and ARROGANT.

I guess I have been really luckly not really ever had any issues and I am always super aware that the truckers are working and I don’t ever slow them down. I fuel and I move on. But what are the odds two days in a row. Today outside Denver stop at a loves. pick a lane and pull up so others can do the same. after 20 minutes and no activity I aproach the truck and ask him if there is a problem. He starts yelling at me that he is one the phone with his company and I needed to wait. About 10 minutes later he fuels the tractor then the refer and then pulls up to the line goes inside and I fuel. I wait about 20 more minutes before this dead beat comes back out…… I was so pissed I was thinking tires… I was thinking about the 3 dozen of eggs I have then my 12 year old asks what I am going to do… I look at him and said “we going to wait patiently” and so we did… the best part was when he finally did leave he pulled over into a parking spot to eat or do whatever…Smoked past him and blew the horn… Then he appeared like he we was going to chase me….. Oh god what did I start here….got back on 70 and made our way to Colorado Springs. Lost about an hour but My son and I will be on our tour of the air force academy with a 4 star general and not spending the night in jail or worse.
I guess the moral of the story… don’t say anything as they likely won’t care and only make things worse. If I had my wife I would have disconnected the car and just switched lanes or parked the car in front of him and the bus behind and taken a nap…

Recently saw a video on YouTube where someone filmed the reaction of a truck driver whose king pin had been pulled by someone else. The trucker pulled forward to leave and the trailer dropped on the ‘landing gear’… now I wonder if the guy who did it was indulging in some payback. Jon, we used our card at the Love’s in Boardman OR with no trouble. Haven’t been to IN yet. Kirby
