I think you should average a little more.
My Silverleaf & DDEC say I average 7.3. On good days with a tailwind I can get 8.1. Last year in a 30mph head-wind I averaged 5.2.

Detroit series 60 in mine. Prevost was still putting them in in 2010 when the shell was built.

I think Tim’s non-EGR engine mileage is typical and lesser values are going to be the result of higher driving speeds or a heavier toad.

Should have mentioned I tow a Jeep GC, curb weight of 4,875.

Those numbers are from my log with actual mileage and fuel used. The info center is pretty good, but actual known numbers are better for a given period of time, although the gen and webasto kind of scews the numbers. I may do better now since the overhead was done.

Hope the overhead does help your mileage, as I’m due to get that done and the bracket upgrade in a couple weeks!

I can attest that when someone siphons off 100 gallons when your not looking, you will doubt the accuracy of your fuel gauge and ultimately run out of fuel.
Back when diesel hit $48 gallon there where more than just Jon siphoning fuel!

I reported yesterday that when I siphoned 100 gallons from Tom’s coach, I replaced it so his fuel gauge would look the same. I used the macerator to refill his tank.
I don’t see the holding tank contents as being any different than DEF, except it is cheaper.

Here’s a dirty little secret……….the exact same key has been used on every single Prevost for fuel doors and some engine door locks since the ark was beached on Ararat.
How do you guys think I could get Truk’s fuel? If he won’t give poor Nancy slides why would you think he would give me fuel?

Jon…they are different on my H than the XLII. So they must finally run out of the old ones.

We shocked Buddy this weekend when I used my key to lock his radiator door.
Just a tip for all who are unaware of the deal with the keys, some of you may think you are secure when you lock your engine area doors, but there are trouble makers running around who will be able to unlock your engine door and place the selector switch on the side of the electrical box to the “off” position to watch you go nuts when you cannot start your bus.
Don’t tell anyone I told you.

I donated about 100 gallons of diesel to some thieves when fuel was high. I do not think Jon was any where around. The replacement fuel cost me over $4.60 a gallon. That hurt my average for a long time!
I was the first one to win a $100 fuel card on PC back in the day so that kind of made up for it!
