Hey mike do you go to Quartzite show regularly? It’s been a couple of years but we use to go with the Lemon group that is a group from the Foretravel Forum, Kenny and Ann Lemon started it. At one time there was 60 Foretravels there, It was nice putting a face to the people on the Forum. Do you go with a Prevost group? Last time we went 4 years ago we had the Bus, The weather there is awesome.

Yes, I go every year, bounced around a bit, last year we hung out with the Wog folks, Wanderlodge Owners Group. They are an awesome group, very welcoming. This will be the 17th year in a row they gather in Quartzsite, they have tech talks bring your favorite tool talks, just fun bunch of folks to be around. They gather at La Posa south, here is the link.

Great job Mike! Can you tell us about the blue paint? It has a very velvety finish. Obviously its some sort of high temp coating. I would like to know more. Thanks.

Yes, the paint is VHT Flame proof, color satin Blue. It is a spray on Silica Ceramic paint, rated up to 2000 deg. F, So far it is pretty durable.

Heavy Corrosion around the ECM, I broke every bolt removing it, today i removed the last broken stud. The cooling plate had 80″ thick corrosion in between the top of the ECM and the bottom of the cooling plate. Fun Times!

Hello, Mike. I do not believe I have ever seen a muffler cover like the one you have installed. Is that factory, or custom?

What muffler cover are you seeing? The muffler is mounted from the underneath, the blue chimney coming thru the gray area is where the tubes connect.

    Mike:

When you do things you do it right!

Like the way you taped off the ends so they didn’t get painted where the hose attaches. Been the recipient of fittings that were paint and hose installed over the paint, doesn’t work well long term.

Good Progress today, Exhaust Manifolds installed, Y pipes installed, ECM and Fuel plate back installed. Tomorrow i need to install the 2 long run power steering hoses that run up to the first Bulkhead. Next will be the fan drive assembly, then the radiator. Getting Close!
