Guys,
I sent an email to a Prevost contact I had from other past issues and he indicate that have them at all their locations… I think about 70 of them in US but they are not a Tire dealer so they can’t ship them so you need to go to one of their locations to get them. Not Ideal and you can’t use the advantage program so it would be around 6K out the door for 4 so I might just roll the dice and wait for them to come in stock locally…

I have spent several hours on the phone and emails with Michelin….totally failed system for inventory and sales….Let Prevost run out with Greyhound or something like that and then things would change…

I’m going to sneak out tonight to the Greyhound terminal and shoot holes in the sidewalls of all their 365’s.
Note to big brother…….that was a joke.

$6000 for 4. No discount. $1500 smackers a tire. Well worth the money. Folks, What do they normally run , each, mounted with discount??

Why aren’t the Commercial and Entertainers screaming their heads off? We know they mostly outsource their tire needs and don’t all go to Prevost. Seems like only the motorhome side is getting screwed over.

It has been my habit to express myself with my wallet. If I feel a company I deal with is not doing a good job I take my business elsewhere.
Prevost Community has added access to a discount tire program for Goodyear tires. The program does not offer 365 size tires because Michelin is still the sole producer, but the Goodyear program has a range of selections for 315 size tires. If you need tires take a look at the Goodyear offerings which range from about $350 to about $650 per 315 tire. With the offerings you have the option of selecting tires based on your use of tires, the weight you carry, and the speed you drive and they may be a great alternative to the Michelin tires.
I still believe Michelin produces the best tires for our use, but whatever the reason we PC members are not provided the support we need and maybe Michelin needs to understand we do have some options.

Early on, after about 6 months of owning the coach, we were getting a vibration at the front-end between 62-68 mph and it was determined that the 365’s were out of round.
Prevost replaced the front tires under warranty and they listed them at $1,002, each back in 2015. They re-aligned the whole coach and it is now smooth.

I’m in need of 365s also, can I replace the 365s with the 315s using the existing rims?

No.
Your coach has an 18000 pound front axle and if you put on 315’s you are at the absolute limit of the tires at max pressure. Additionally if you don’t have hub piloted 9″ wheels for the 315’s you will have to mount them on the original hub piloted 10.5″ wheels which is not an approved size for 315’s for long term use.
I am trying to find out if Goodyear 385 tires would be an acceptable replacement. The concerns are clearances in the wheel wells at the extreme top and bottom of suspension travel and at extreme lock to lock on the turn.
Is there anyone out there that knows if a 385 has sufficient clearance? I know late model Country Coach models used 385’s but they also used non-standard air bags and I don’t know if they made the mods for clearance puropse or if it was weight related.

Got the first of the new model 315 in….You can mount a 315 on the wheel of where a 365 is to get you rolling….I know of a entertainer that is running 315s where 365 were…I know I would not leave it on there but would do it if I needed one on the road and couldnt get one…

Looked Facebook under Michelin tire and got a phone number. Called number and customer service told me 366 tires sized 365/70/22.5 will be put in production on Nov 26. She told me to call back end of month for further update how many tires were scheduled to be made. I voiced our concern of lack of inventory

thank you Jeff and Jon, I do remember that this issue came up during the seminar and we were told that you could us a 315 on the 365 rim but I wasn’t sure if it could be usage as a long term fix.
I do agree that the Michelin tire is a great tire but with this problem I would like to find a solution with an alternate manufacturer.

The chart below comes courtesy of John Browder and might help make a decision regarding the use of 385 tires.
If it is possible for those of us driving coaches that came from Prevost equipped with 365 tires to use 385 size tires we are no longer held hostage by Michelin and we would have choices.

Yep, Jon is very correct. Back in the early 2000s, Bob Lee of Country Coach was seeking higher front axle rating. 2001 XLIIs and newer before Prevosts 365’s introduction that included both 40 and 45 footers were Country Coach factory equipped with 385’s. Not sure I would try them on our coach, which is equipped with four 365 sized tires, and you ask why??? It’s something the previous owner had Marathon do thru Kaiser Trucks in Eugene. At 15340 lbs on the front, the Michelin chart shows to use an incredibly low psi. We are running 96 up front and 90 in the tag
