Posted by Archived on December 4, 2012 at 8:06 am

We have made arrangements with Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in Sevierville, TN for a spring mini rally in April. This will be a laid back, no agenda, no schedule get together at a beautiful time of year in the Smokey Mountains.

Two Rivers has graciously reserved all 25 river front sites at a reduced price for Prevost Community, so call at your earliest convenience to make sure you get a river front site. There are also non river front sites if that’s your preference.

Since this is in Jon’s backyard, he will provide us with suggestions of things to do and see while in the Smokey’s. Hope to see many of you in the springtime at Sevierville.

    When – April 26 – 29, 2013

Special PC Rate – $35.00 per night, plus tax

The time of the year is beautiful with really nice temps, and it just precedes the summer rush. There is no lack of things to do in the area, ranging from Dollywood (don’t laugh, its a lot of fun), spending time in Gatlinburg with its neat shops and Ripley’s Aquarium, hiking in the Smokies, shopping at all the venues, or just enjoying meeting and greeting in lawn chairs on the banks of the French Broad River.

I will start gathering a list of neat things to do and see.

Hope we can get there as we are only 2.5 hours from there and we would enjoy meeting this group face to face. The company I worked for had a plant in Sevierville that I visited several times a year for 21 years so we have spent a lot of time there. The area sure has changed since the mid 70s though.

    Hey Tom,

Hope you can make it. We just made our reservation and would sure like to meet up with you and compare notes on our coaches.

    Jon and Truk,

Thanks for making this arrangement. This is the closest we will have been to home for any Prevost rally

    Hello All,

the dates are good timing because it fits in well with our Spring trip back up North. So I have called Two Rivers to make a reservation. See you in the Spring!

I just signed up! 1st rally so be gentle. I was down at “the Dell” in October. No one told me Dollywood was there. Expected a sleepy mountain town and thought I got lost and drove into Ocean City MD.

You have nothing to worry about coming to a rally of bus drivers. All good folks who always seem to have a great time when they get together. (All except that one old grump)

The best part about rallies is we are not getting together with strangers. All year long we chat about a wide range of topics on forums like this and we actually get to know one another. A rally helps us put a face with the name.

The best part about rallies for everyone is if we have questions, there is almost assuredly going to be answers, and some of those answers may actually turn out correct. How can you beat a deal like that. One thing the frequent rally goers know is we never run out of opportunities to talk about buses.

Alan and Mary Kay also signed up. Looks like fun after a year’s hiatus from travel.

    I wanted to
add that it’s an excellent area for anyone in the group who rides street bikes.
    Deals Gap, Cherohala Skyway, Blue
Ridge Parkway and the Foothills Parkway are all close by.

Deals Gap is the Dragon as Ken pointed out, big fun on a Hog. I’ve ridden it many times over the years, even one time on a trike I built, but that was a lot of work. Hey Wild Bill, do you remember the ride from Sevierville?

Sure do I especially remember the ride guide running off and hideing from all us big bike riders on his little honda scooter.

Back row for the home builders? Wanta -bee’s? Guess I can come and see how the other half lives. Truthfull-Might be a good shake down cruse and target date to get done. Have lost personal goals lately and need to get motivated. Plus first part is ??? As my bus is less than a 30 grand coach home done. Lots of you guys spend that much in your bays. Bob
