    Tom,

Wow, I didn’t know Jon’s backyard was THAT big!

Carole and I are signing up for the “do-over.” We attended the other Sevierville Rally in Spring of 2006 or was it 2007. Doesn’t matter, we will be there in 2013, yippee!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. That is if we all have not fallen off the “fiscal cliff!”

Obviously an impersonator. From the sounds of the number signed up so far we are going to have fun.

Don (the manager) and I are going to get together after the first of the year and put together a list of neat things to do and see in the area. With such a wide variety of venues ranging from restaurants, to attractions, to great shopping to scenic drives nobody is going to get bored.

And Tom told me he would bring his tools and fix anything anyone wanted on their coach.

BTW, If anyone has a canoe or kayak bring it along. The French Broad River (which orignates up in the Smokies and goes past the Biltmore Estate in Asheville) is a great river to canoe or kayak. It is a shallow river and the fish and wildlife are plentiful. Sorry, no rapids.

Also right across the road from the knife works is a zip line that runs across the river , and also they have a speed boat that turns flips in the river you can ride. I would suggest a wee dram before doing this! Gary

When you hit the main light in Gatlinburg where the main road forks to the right, I am told if you go left up the hill instead and keep going there is an 8-mile “artist loop” with real gallery-quality crafts. We missed it on our trip, but friends just found it and the artist they spoke with said it is a “best kept secret” not advertised in any of the normal tourist flyers. (althought that would seem to defeat the purpose of being in business??).

Information on that will be in the goody bags with all the local information. The RV park manager and I are going to put together information on as many things we think folks would like to do while in the area. Trouble is there is so much to do nobody will be able to do them all in the few days of the rally.
