Gerald,
One of the things that will make your transition into your new coach much more pleasant will be if you can get training. All too many think they will be able to figure things out as they go, but unless you are prepared to learn stuff the hard way you should see if you can schedule some time with preferably Marathon or at least someone familiar with your year and conversion.
I sense you are lost right now, and may not have even had the opportunity to completely check out the coach. An intense training session which involves both the house and chassis could take a couple of days and possibly uncover some things that will need attention, but the time and money spent will make your experiences with the coach much more pleasurable.

Thank you all for the feedback! I’ll give equalization a try and report back. The bus has battery disconnects for each inverter and for the direct DC loads. I’ll turn the latter off. For the chassis batteries I’ll either install an echo charger or a marine 24V charger supplied by the preheat outlet for the engine as many of you have done.
Regarding the draw on the chassis batteries when disconnected, I read somewhere that the DDECIII computer is always on and draws about one amp. This would mean about 10 days to discharge the chassis batteries to 50% which is pretty much what I’m seeing. Maybe the newer computers use Flash/Eprom memory and do not need much in terms of keep alive current.

Liberty put enough shiny stuff SS in the finish of the cargo bins they decided to give my eyes a break…. no shiny copper on this one!
To the “bordello” comment ….. my wife said “you want a Prevost…. I don’t want a rolling w#$%^& house. soooo we have a fairly understated rolling Prevost.
Remember….. when mama’s happy I get a new Prevost !

Gil,
Yep, there is a bunch of differences. I had a CC like yours, 2000
and like you I didn’t need aux air for anything while staying in
the bus. That reminds me, the CC’s have the aux compressor and tank
mounted in front behind the bumper and you have a “drain”
switch probably in the first bay starboard. That aux compressor is a
condensation maker and needs drained often. Usually the switch at the
tank gets gummed up and won’t work with the button until cleaned. You probably figured all that out by now, but thought I would
mention it. -
Thanks, Jon and Tom! I signed up and it was super simple. 🙂
