Bill,
I am glad it all worked out. Jay is a great resource in the Houston area.

Being a new owner of a Prevost Conversion, one of my top priorities was choosing a Conversion that still had support of Techs. It was the main reason I went with a Prevost after 20 plus years of Blue Bird ownership . There was a great amount of support for the BB but not from many dealers across the country . So in choosing a Prevost I have the coach 100% covered in the USA and Canada .
Next was the house portion( converter) . I choose Vantare for a few reasons . I spend most of my time here on the east coast where there are many of the former techs now employed . A very knowledgeable friend owns one and the coach is a great boon docking coach which is of high importance to us .
Next on my list was budget . I went with a Garage Queen knowing that I would be behind in Maintenance but was will ing to trade that off for very low miles and condition . She was also a 1 owner coach with service records complete up to 2013 ouch !! 🙂
Good Luck on your journey and keep in mind any company who converted a Prevost was a Great Converter in my opinion.

I do not think anyone, including Prevost knows for sure why coaches were affected by delamination.
There was an endless number of theories, including skin polishing, power washing at the seams, heat, cold, and phases of the moon. It did not impact every coach. But whatever the cause Prevost has developed the repair and while expensive it is a permanent fix. Coaches found to have no delamination issues do not need the repair, but those with problems need to be fixed by Prevost because a failure to correct the problem can result in issues that have the potential to ruin the coach, with the primary problem being water entry followed by mold and mildew.

MemberFebruary 25, 2019 at 7:54 am in reply to: Carlisle Autofest – Lakeland, FL – February 22 – 2It was very difficult keeping these two out of the beer long enough to get everything strapped down. As you can see, I was in the lawn chair waiting for them to get the strapping done so I could leave. C’mon guys it’s getting hot.
So then Tim tells me I’m going to owe him big time for all this PIA work, but he didn’t know he was about to owe me big time and my debt would be cleared.
When the trailer was loaded, Tim says his POS Zip Dee air awning wouldn’t retract and he had done all the steps to trouble shoot. So I, the highly paid technician, walked over to the awning, picked up the remote and ran the awning in no problem.
At that point, we were even because I gave him a credit on my hourly rate so I wouldn’t hear the moaning and groaning.
The worse part of the whole deal was Andre walking around telling us we didn’t know our asses from a hole in the ground and if he became more involved, we would have to cough up some cash. These Prevost people are relentless.

Good post. It sounds like you have not installed it yet. Please give an update of your thoughts about it when you do. I installed a Marinco last year. I wish i had known about the Samlex.

Bill,
I just saw your post. I don’t know if you found someone, but here is a name and number – Jay Morales 832.723.5332. Jay is a mobile RV mechanic in Houston. I spoke to him and he will come to Richmond. He has worked on my Angola and Millennium over the last 15 years. He hasn’t done any airbags for me, but he did do some on a couple of other Prevosts in the recent past.

I replaced All my bags a while back and the front was not bad to do, 2 jacks one in middle of front and the other under axle, long breaker bar to loosen lugs. Once wheel is off it’s a cake walk, a short piece of 2×4 or something to stuff under plastic above bag to get fitting off a 5/8 crows foot wrench, remove 2 bolts on bottom and 2 on top and it lifts right out, much easier that drive axle. Kinda weird those bags are very thick rubber.

But Buddy, are you saying there is no chance your grey tank is full and you won’t be able to drain the water from the tub, the pump will quit, the breaker will trip taking out the hot water heater, the Marathon sewer hose won’t extend, the Webasto won’t fire, the surge protector is tripped, both inverters are inverting, it’s raining and the slide is leaking, the Crestron won’t re-boot and to top it all off, Jeff is beating on your door wanting you to run to Home Depot, chop chop?
Relax my friend, but I know you do miss it.🤔

If not cutting the line as Jon suggests, you will need a “crows foot” (can’t remember the size) and a long extension to take it apart and re-assemble.
-
It could be as simple as a connection at the terminals that has failed where it is not visible.
-
Doug, Xtreme Paint and Graphics has a source for stainless steel brackets that are the exact replica of the ones Marathon uses. Pricey but you will never have to worry about rusting again.
Or, just sand and paint white the current ones.

Jon, thx. Just got. Home yesterday from a four week trip and I found a leak around the low side fill valve. It is on my list of “to do’s”. I found a great resource for generator repair / service. I will write a note about them when I have a few minutes. In the meantime the name of the company is Powerhouse Diesel Generators in Valdosta, Georgia and I can’t say enough about them for competence and fairness. Simply put they are the best!!!

Robert,
I tried every which way to open a photobucket account of your bus. I did searches and that did not work.
Can you copy and past the URL?
