Zipdee retrofit
I was looking for a replacement part on the zipdee web site & saw something new. Zipdee now has a 12v electric awning for the XL Prevost and of course the airstream. Since we have a curved roofline there was no auto refit option, just manual.The kit is called the “Relax 12V automatic awning”. The web says you can keep your old roller, case and fabric & change only the hardware on the bus.
Do we have any XL owners that have done this yet? I’m very interested in doing so. If you have done the change over, what is your review?

The last time I talked with them, they hadn’t designed mounting feet for the Zipdee arms that follow the contour of the stainless panel. I was told this was of lesser priority. Maybe I need to call them again. We have seen the new electric awning demo’d at our last summer’s WBCCI International rally in Farmington NM. While a bit noise, we would do the conversion
