Roger & Micky, Yosemite Pines RV Resort (yosemitepinesrv.com) near Groveland on Highway 120 is pretty nice and is probably the closest RV park to Yosemite where you can fit. There is mountain driving to get there on Highway 120, but it is doable in a bus towing a car. Tour buses take that route. Note that there are serious fires buring in the area right now and I do not know what effect they may have on the park, the rv park or the scenery along the way. I know that the town of Groveland was evacuated during the big fire last year, so there definitely was fire in the vicinity of the RV park.

From Yosemite Pines you will need a toad to get to Yosemite Valley and the main attractions because your bus won’t fit.

Agree with you Bryan, the pickins are rather slim in that area and anything closer ones risks some damage from the roads…not the narrow and windy so much as the outcroppings of rock!

Thanks for the replies, reservations are made to arrive Sunday and stay a couple of days. The lady on the phone states there are no fires in the area? I am in Reno and yesterday visibility was down to half a mile (thats my eyesight- others could see farther) due to the smoke from the “King” fires.
