Whew, found a small park on near west side of York,Pa while visiting kids this week. Kinda small and not a Taj Mahal, but adequate. Seems that is was a mobile home park and about 75% converted into RV park. Good thing is, not much if anything in this town except for here, and here is 30 miles from Lancaster (Amish country), 25 miles from Gettysburg War Memorial National Park and a host of other things to do. Whew again, given the York Co Fair over the weekend that happens to be the oldest fair in USA, walking grandkids around it and today doing about 1/2 of Gettysburg, the old legs and feet are tired tonight, but happy. A lot to do, we have hardly done anything but sleep at the bus, and will be here for about 3 weeks, so the park is ok. Just thought I would pass it on.

If you can arrange it, a tour of the Harley Davidson plant in York is well worth the time.

They traditionally have an open house once a year but they may offer public tours at other times as well.

It was always a tradition of mine to ride each of my Harley’s back to the factory where they were ” born” during the open house events. A real nice ride from South Jersey through the Amish area of Lancaster.

I did the same as Paul, driving from VA to he HD plant almost every year. I also had the opportunity to spend 3 days at the plant. It was impressive watching sheetmetal turn to parts, the precision welding done by hand, and finally awesome paint work a chroming. All done by hand, except metal forming.
