  • XLll head light problems may be solved

Posted by Peter on January 30, 2016 at 9:32 am

I am going to place a 30 inch rigid light bar in the grill just above the three orange lights ,take out the grill and place the light bar in there ,there will still be lots of air flow for the cruise airs and it will fit flush in there I think it will look good , I have them on all the service trucks and it lights it up like a football field , going with the combo one. Pics when done , I seen a coach with the light bar in there up in Canada .

I noticed the same thing on the trip home with our bus. The lights are next to worthless. So I bought these:

    HID Conversion

And, I tell you…. they are BRIGHT. So much so, it pretty much feels like daytime. The PO upgraded from the square style to the round ones before me so these HID lamps were a super easy change. I did put the same type of conversion in my Airstream Interstate – they have the “regular style” headlamsp and they work great there too.

There is one caveat – on our bus, when you hit the HiBeams, the new HID Low Beams turn off. And, turning HID’s on/off/on/off isn’t good. So I have to figure out how to defeat that system and get it to work so that the Low Beams are on all the time and the Hi Beams flash… so that we can signal other big vehicles out there.

For now, I plan to use the fog lights to signal… and the low beams are so bright they are actually much brighter than the High Beams so I don’t need the High Beams.

Just another, different, option here for brighter lights.

Push the very end of the signal light stick the little round button on end and it will flash your marker lights
