  • XL motorhome window platform

Posted by Joe on November 14, 2015 at 12:04 pm

When Prevost built the motorhome chassis, were the side window size and location all the same, and also the type? Or could the converter order different? My windows push out at the bottom. Is that Prevost or converter window? I assume chassis is delivered to converter with windows installed. If it is Prevost specific, were their different years of the XL motorhome with different windows? I have one that leaks when I wash the coach. So if I ordered a window seal are they standard? I would assume one piece? Thanx

They could order as many as they wanted

its a prevost window I don’t think you can get the awning windows any more from prevost just one piece,

you can still get the hole window seal and the full glass from prevost give them your vin and they can look it up and tell you what’s available

I’m not sure about the tip-out windows but Prevost does sell the sliders. They seemed a tad expensive (~$3500.00ea) so I’m trying to find used ones to replace the windows I have that don’t open.

I recently purchased a brand new seal for a slider window and brand new seal for one of my front windshields right from Prevost. Only word of warning – Prevost sent the “zip strip” with the windshield seal but not with the side window seal. It cost a pile of $$$ to next day the “zip strip”. SOOOO make sure you ask.

    Good luck!

Dan they do not sell the tip out windows any more or the rods to open the tip out part , just the full window ,

I had three of the new manual rods in captivity , and one full window with the tip out

Peter, Good to know. It seems odd, you can get parts for just about anything right from Prevost (even my vintage coach most things are on the shelf). I have never looked at a tipout window up close. I wonder if Joe can get just a new seal to eliminate his leak?

Dan: still looking for more. I have a four seasons green house that has one about same size that slides out from bottom. Frame work is very close to original. Bob

Bob, You bet – I’d like 3 – 5 more if I can get them. The last one you sent me worked perfect. Shoot me a picure of what you have.

    Thanks,

    Dan
