XL dash A/C toggle
On the dash of my XL, is an AC/Heat toggle. This is for the bus air. Beneath the switch are two lights. The one for A/C has started flashing on mine from time to time. It doesn’t affect cooling or anything. And sometimes when it is flashing, I think I hear a bump noise under the front floorboard. I can turn the knob to make it not so cold and it will stop flashing for a bit, but then come back on later. It doesn’t do it all the time. It is so random that I can’t find a pattern. I thought it might be low freon and caused by the compressor kicking off and on, but I had freon checked and that isn’t it. Does anyone know what causes this light, and bump sound? Thanks.

Had similar problem a while ago. If the ac light is red the evaperator coils are not colling. My problem was the selonid relay was fried and needed to be replaced. Pulled it and all has been fine. If memory serves me I got the replacemnt at NAPA.
