Wipers come on by themselves
I have a 93 CHASSIS/94 Vantare H3/40 conversion, and the lower windshield wipers have started coming on by themselves. Originally was happening intermittently, but now pretty much always on. I changed out the multifunction switch after misdiagnosing the issue, and am now stumped. I am thinking it could be a failed pulse generator, but am unsure where to find it. The upper wiper generator is quite obvious in the compartment under the driver, but I cannot see where the unit is for the lower wipers. I suppose it could be a short but thought it would be good to find the pulse generator and test that first. Any thoughts/ideas would be welcome.
I should also mention that if I place the lever switch between off and operating positions, I can get the wipers to stop, and I have a temporary solution by holding the switch in that position by using an o ring for friction on the stalk, which allows me to drive without wipers going.

OK – found it, behind the panel that covers the driver’s evaporator on the passenger side of the dash. And, yes, it was the pulse generator that caused the issue. I swapped out the upper windshield generator to test, and all is good now.
