All,

trip went relatively well all the way up until I hit PA. Started out on the 10 then started to head north on the 20 & 30 to take the 40 east until Knoxville. Stopped there a few days to look at purchasing property in the area. Picked up the 81 to the 78 in PA heading to Brian & Sue at EDS to reset Techlon. Brian and Sue are really great people and the go to point for any Techlon concerns or questions. Carol and I had a great visit with them. Hit some pretty cold weather on the way (high teens to low 20s), but nothing that the bus couldn’t handle. PA on the other hand, we hit a winter storm while on the road with whiteout conditions. That is where a passing truck and I got too close to each other and took out my mirror and cracked one of my windshields. Luckily no other damage. I made a call to Prevost in South Plainfield NJ to see if they could install new windshield and mirror. Veronica in service was great, she was able to get me in the next day, and their technicians are top notch. They did a remove and replace on the windshield and mirror and had me back on the road in about 3 hours. They are definitely a service center I would use if needing work in that area. Unfortunately timing and the travel route did not afford us to take anyone up on their hospitality offers, maybe on the return run.

Glad to hear you made it safely. As a Florida boy I would be scared to death to drive in that kind of weather (been called a southern sissy, and proud of it, LOL).

Sorry to hear about the mirror and windshield, have had many close calls on dry roads and sunny days. Don’t know if it is just me, but a lot of the tractor trailer rigs seam to let the back end of the trailer sway very close when passing. My theory is, there is a pressure of air formed between the bus and tractor trailer during the passing that suddenly disappears once the trailer is mostly passed the bus. Once the air cushion/pressure drops away it lets the trailer sway inwards towards the bus if the tractor trailer driver is not paying attention.

Any buddy else notice this?
