WINDSHIELD WASHER PROBLEMS
When we bought this bus the washers were not working and upon checking it out found the bottle empty and all the parts inside the bottle and the two connecting nipples for the tubes were broken.
I ordered new ones from Prevost and installed them put plain water in the bottle and the two motors were running but washers not working … water running out from behind the bumper…. found out that both lines were disconnected from from the two nipples at the base of the wipers… after much digging around I was able to hook them back up and both wipers started working properly… emptied the water from the bottle and added a gallon of RainX bug cleaner (says do not dilute) and still worked fine so I added 2 more gallons and didn’t check it again… the bottle holds 4 gallons.
Thought all was well, but when trying to use them on our trip to Destin they wouldn’t work….luckily we didn’t have to use them so just got back and checked them out today… still not working so I emptied out 2 gallons of the fluid back down to the 1 gallon mark where they were working before and the drivers side works great … passengers side nothing…but it is till hooked up… don’t have a clue how to “prime” it or what to do next… any ideas would be much appreciated and can’t imagine why I can’t add more fluid to the bottle without them quitting on me ?
As amazing as it may seem we just came home from our first “big” 10 day trip in the Liberty and the wipers were the ONLY thing that had a problem… everything else was awesome… boy I am loving this Liberty!! Only ran 2 airs while parked at the beach in the high 80s and 90s bus stayed at about 70 degrees inside and nearly froze us out at night …. ran washer and dryer everyday … never tripped a breaker… wow…was I a happy camper !!

Maybe the one hose has some junk in it Diane. If possible, blow air back to the tank, that may dislodge the blockage.

If you disconnect the hose at the wiper, also disconnect the other end at the pump discharge. If there is crud in the hose you don’t want to blow it into the pump.
The message here is don’t drive on salt covered roads such as up north in the winter. Then you won’t have to use those washers.
